been wanting to try out this place for the longest time because of all the positive reviews and heard so manygoodthings about it, so i’m happy i finally got to visit!

first time we came, we arrived at 6pm and there was a 1-2hr wait due to peak dinner time. so we decided to have an early dinner at 4:30pm to avoid the crowd. it was pretty empty inside which was great as it wasn’t too noisy.

we ordered the wagyu set, pork belly, seafood pancake and cold noodles. the meat quality was amazing, it was so tender and melted in our mouths! the seafood pancake was also super crispy, and the cold noodles with the freshly cooked meat made the perfect combo. also loved the side dishes that came with everything – especially the mashed potato.

the staff were attentive and served our food promptly after ordering. there was also a spray outside the restaurant when you walk out so you won’t smell like bbq. would definitely come back again!

terrible service. staff brought out water and sides but no cups or chopsticks. they placed heated coals on the stove but no grill and then took 20 minutes to come take our order despite pressing the call button three times. they also just didn’t bring the bowl of rice that was ordered at all. in terms of food the beef wasgoodbut the fresh squid and seafood pancake average. won’t be coming back.

this place can have long lines on the weekend forgoodreason so it could be useful to book if you're going during peak time. it would have to be one of my favourite restaurants when i'm craving korean bbq - all of the meat provided is excellent quality. i particularly recommend the wagyu beef bulgogi and beef brisket. usually, i tend to share amongst 2-3 people one of the meat sets that has a combination of pork and beef. make sure to ask for extra red pepper sauce; it's delicious with the meat. if you're lucky, you will get crab as one of the free sides, something which most korean bbq restaurants don't offer. it's alsogoodto see that they've expanded their selection of pre-cooked dishes - the japchae is great. you also have the option for traditional korean seating on the floor, and it's nice having the option to sit near the back of the restaurant now that smoking isn't allowed there.

for authentic, real korean bbq, the type that real koreans go to, this is your place! we went on a sunday night and we still had to queue (around 7:730), and it was busy inside so that was agoodsign to start with.

the strathfield branch is the original branch and is designed to look like an industrial warehouse /barn with an open back door (probably to remove all the bbq fumes). there are big hot plates in the middle of each table, it’s a very communal and social way of dining.

there is a selection meat types and cuts. the waggu scotch fillet was melt in the mouth, tender af.

tasty side dishes are refillable which is good, the kimchi is addictive, i’m warning you!

we also ordered korean pancake which was tasty and glass potato noodles which were tasty.

if you haven’t been to korean bbq before, i warn you not to wear anything that your worried about smelling like bbq afterwards as you will definitely be wearing ‘korean bbq eau de parfum’ afterwards!

after watching a movie in town hall, we decided to hit up this kbbq located a couple minutes walk from the train station in strathfield. arriving here at roughly 6:30pm on a wednesday night, the restaurant was already half occupied but luckily we didn’t have to wait and was seated immediately because about an hour later when our food was served, the tables were full already.

we ordered the bbq set which included marinated beef ribs, wagyu intercostal and wagyu scotch fillet ($69), a side of pork belly ($20), egg soup ($10) and the cold noodles served in soup with chilli paste sauce ($13) with the complimentary standard korean side dishes (potato, pickles and kimchi).

pricing wise, not the most cost effective kbbq around in the area but the cuts of meat were decently sized and we were very satiated afterwards. egg soup could be passed if there were other options you wanted to try from the menu but the cold noodles is recommended because the tart flavour and the coldness breaks through the heat of the meat.

wait staff were abundant in numbers but the service was still lacking because we found ourselves having to always wait for quite some time/other nearby customers alerting them before we had their attention. overall, still agoodkbbq experience but will probably try another restaurant in the future.

service: on father day lunch it was quite bad. people were queing at the cold windy door and the waitress cam to gather numbers but she never returned to walk people to their tables! the front guy was grumpy and was shouting i was first but this place is just walk in and seat yourself. inattentive, you need to wave your hand like a mexican wave. staff all just arrived from korean and have limited english 2/5

food: consistentlygoodtasty korean food.goodside dishes , kfc chicken seafood pankcake and bone broth soups 3.5/5

value: about $80 for four people is bang for buck, u walk out satisfied and warm belly 3.5/5

vibe: buzzy and packed, u can talk loud eat loud. not for quiet romantic dates. great for groups 3/5

this place is our favorite korean bbq. it has all the favourites, great atmosphere and flavoured soju! down side is, there is always a line, however, it means itsgoodright?

the meat has all the varieties, beef, pork, wagyu etc. the favourites: egg soup, seafood pancake, pan fried dumplings – yum! there is free parking in the plaza, plenty of street parking in the side streets. don’t forget to put your name on the list when you arrive to join the waiting list.

nothing bad to say, we don’t even mind the wait for a table, we would not go anywhere else.

upon finally visiting this place after knowing of it's popularity for a while, surprisingly it did meet expectations. as this place doesn't take bookings, if you're planning to come eat here, have an early dinner. upon arrival, if there's no space they will put your name on reserve on their ipad system in which they will text you when they're ready to have you. for an arrival at 6pm, this meant an 1hr and 15min wait for us, so hopefully you have some friends to chat to or shopping to get done otherwise it would be a frustrating wait. thankfully with the former i was able to be patient. walking in you enter this enclosed space with a very rustic/underground vibe where everyone is just chilling, enjoying a meal. this restaurant hasgoodquality, fresh meat and had a variety of side dishes suited for kbbq. service was very efficient as we sat down they immediately brought all the necessary condiments. everything was tasty from the meat, egg drop soup, japchae and pancakes. refill requests were also efficient. without a doubt, it was an expensive meal, in line with all kbbq places in sydney. despite this, it's a place with tasty food and a great atmosphere to have a casual hangout with friends.

jtb always promises agoodkbbq feed and is my fave place in sydney so far for kbbq!! 🤤 there’s usually a line on weekends or friday nights but the line moves pretty fast and the food is definitely worth the wait. the meat is so j00c3y and tastes likegoodquality meat - my faves include the pork rib (which just melts in your mouth), the wagyu and ox tongue. would highly recommend to everyone! plus they give you heaps of sides (which you can ask for more when you finish) to accompany your meal 👌🏿
