delicious pizzas and woodfired chicken shnitzel are my favourite meals to order. food quality and service is not always consistent but i find myself visiting often to enjoy their meals. a must try is their mushroom risotto!

italian kitchen has a very cosy, homey feel about it. on entry we were asked to wait on a comfortable and striking red couch while our table was cleared. this was a great change from having to hang around awkwardly close to other diners while waiting. the atmosphere was buzzing as the place was very busy (cycle tour weekend) but it wasn't overpoweringly loud and we could hear each other talk.

the service started off slow but it was totally understandable as we arrived close to the end of what seemed to have been a very busy night for them. the waiter was, however, extremely friendly and knowledgable of the food.

the food has a home-cooked essence to it and can be described as smart comfort food. the portions are huge!

both of us had their chorizo and chicken risotto, which was a special for the night. the dish was complemented with sun dried tomato, cream and chili. it was topped with parmesan and rocket. it was delicious! occasionally, i tasted some kind of mayonnaise which wasn't ideal but the dish as a whole made up for it.

the ice cream cake had melted, so we were offered it on the house, but nevertheless tasted like an ice cream, honeycomb and flake perfection. i can't wait to try the real deal. the chocolate shot was too sweet for us.

looking at the menu, i'd really like to try out their cheesey starter: deep fried camembert and pan-fried halloumi.

their wine list looks pretty extensive and is reasonably priced.

we went here for the convenience of it being on the entertainer app, which means that one of our main meals was free of charge. i would have been happy, however, to pay full price for a really substantial and tasty meal.

this is a lovely little gem for a cosy, relaxed meal. i'll definitely be back to try out some more of the menu.

it has been ages since we last tried this local restuarant mainly because we don't eat pasta or pizza so generally avoid "italian" restaurants! but italian food should be much more than that so we decided to give it another try. we were welcome enthusiastically and given an option of tables. i had the yellow tail which was great, juicy, well grilled and lightly seasoned. michele had the woodfired chicken breast which she enjoyed. the service was acceptable ant the setting pleasant.

been here on a few date nights. quaint little place with a great vibe, fantastic service, and a delicious variety of food. the pizzas are creative and interesting, their burgers are hearty and filling. the fact that they woodfire everything they can just adds that extra personal homely touch. i would recommend them to anyone.

nice atmosphere, good food and the place is very accommodating! the seafood risotto is definitely the best dish i have tried here. cozy and very affordable.

went here for supper. setup is alright, if you just want to get away from your own kitchen for a bit. food was good, but service was overly slow. 1 waiter for the entire restuarant, between meals, you wait a good few minutes before they even ask if you'd like anything else i.e. dessert. layout: the platformed area should be reviewed, staff walk so heavy on the floors, your table shakes, and it gets annoying because they walk on it so often to all the other tables.

myself and my digsmates were craving some amazing, home cooked food and decided that italian cuisine was the best way to go:) as soon as we walked through the front door of the italian kitchen, we felt like we were walking into our own kitchens back home. the staff are really friendly and the food was amazing. i would definitely recommend my meal that i choice which was the salmon and prawn risotto. absolutely mouth watering.

friends and myself came for dinner as we were wanting some yummy italian cooked food!

on arrival, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. we sat at a large round table which was a nice change compared to the normal square tables.

our food was served quickly and was simply delicious! i had the mushroom risotto- the "ladies portion" which was definitely big enough to make me full! it is a rich dish- so less is better in that case!

my friend order the chicken and spinach pizza- which was good but lacked some flavor- we felt as if something was missing!

overall it was a really enjoyable and affordable meal!

i really do love this place. wonderful romantic atmosphere, great service, good wine (good wine is always a winner) and the food was spectacular. the starters are full of flavour and generous in portion. the pastas rich and creamy and will keep you coming back for more, they get a 8/10. i order the kitchen zink (pizza) when i visit, every slice is something different. really yummy! pizza gets 8/10, i visit as often as i can and have yet to be disappointed. will hopefully try something different next time.

italian kitchen is a great venue for an evening out with family and friends. the atmosphere is warm and friendly. they have an extensive menu from starters to mains with seafood, all kind of meat dishes and delicious wood-fired pizzas. try their chilli prawn starter - it's delicious.

this restaurant is like the little girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead - when it's good it's very good and when it's bad it's horrid! i've eaten there many times and 95% of the time the food is excellent but every now and then something is just not quite right and the food is disappointing. overall i highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner.

we popped in one night for an early dinner just after they reopened after being closed for renovations.

gorgeous decor but the room was very cold. no heaters or a fireplace. not ideal for winter. can't wait to try it out in summer with the lovely outside seating area.

starters were nothing exceptional, very ordinary. my favourite part of the menu was the many risotto options. i love a restaurant that does a good risotto and i was not disappointed! i had the chicken and sundried tomatoe risotto. perfectly cooked with bold flavours. i thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

it was the wife's birthday on wednesday so i booked a table at italian kitchen for us and a few friends. i have driven past and noticed this place a hundred times and from the outside its not much to look at. but as soon as you step inside its warm and inviting. when we arrived the place was empty but no sooner i looked up and it was filled to capacity.

we ordered some pizza, pasta, risotto and one of the guests had a calzone. the ladies who had the pizza and pasta absolutely loved it (after they figured out just how to eat a square pizza). the calzone was huge and looked delicious, although it could have done with more cheese.

this was my first ever risotto... and i have to admit it seemed a bit undercooked and chalky. the other lady who had risotto agreed. that being said the flavor was spot on.

service was efficient and friendly. food and drinks are also well priced. will definitely return, although i've used up all my entertainer vouchers for this specific venue :(

started really well with a relaxed jovial atmosphere and a nice warm fire. forgot about drinks for my kids, wine over priced. food was good although we all expected the pasta to be home made not shop bought. let down by the very slack service and seemingly no management around. i will give it another try but not in a hurry.

quient little restaurant hidden away. the food is great and the prices are well worth it. service is friendly and charming. when busy you can wait a while for your food but most of the time it is not to bad. very cosy and warm atmosphere. it is well worth a visit.
