infusion tea

i was thoroughly disappointed with this place. they had the worst service (being ignored because the wait staff is too hip to be social and welcoming is not appealing) and thefoodwas all prepped beforehand (a made-to-order pizza should not come out in 10 minutes). for a place that wants to come across as handmade or crafted, especially by all the decor, it certainly is cutting corners in the worst way.

thefoodis wonderful but the service is horrific. i liked thefoodso much i went back twice despite feeling like the cashier was extremely rude to me for no reason and i'm better off drinking my own spit than asking for a refill. every time i dined at this restaurant i was left unhappy with their service which has totally turned me off and i will not go back. management is a joke and the employees that i came in contact with are snobby.

so so. thefoodis good, but the service is lacking. not very friendly and have never witnessed a smile from any of the employees.

lots of tea. their tea is amazing but the service is pretty rude! i asked a question aboutfoodand i got a pretty snotty response like how dare i even bother asking a question! thefoodis good but if you're looking for rays of sunshine as far as staff don't bother. looks like i'm not the only one who thinks so too looking at all the other reviews.

rude owner. we are regular customers. thefoodis great but a recent incident questions my loyalty. basically, he did not think out what would happen if you take the entire inside to a huge party and leave only outside seating. the storm clouds were rolling in and he had no seats. when questioned he shrugged his shoulders and walked off. at first we were going to get thefoodto go but i wanted my money back. he refunded the bill but left the tip on there. really, after your mouth ran you would do that? redeeming grace was the blonde hair young lady who came out and talked to my wife. once again i point out we are regulars and expected more than just his shrug and rude tone.

rude service. thefoodis quite good but the service leave much to be desired. i went with my family on sunday and they closed the kitchen before 6 pm. some of my family did not get to eat. they were rude about it. they did not warned us that their kitchen was about to close. so be ware that they close their kitchen "15 min early", because they won't care to let you know. very unfriendly for vegetarian people. i left quite disappointed.

so good ! makes me want to become a vegetarian !foodis always good and filling :) i eat there at least once a week

you won't miss the meat, mostly nice staff. we had a groupon for this restaurant that gave us a pot of tea, 2 entrees and 2 gelatos. it was a great deal. this is a vegetarian restaurant with lots of vegan options. but meat eaters won't miss the meat, everything is so tasty and there are plenty of egg and cheese dishes.
we arrived around 12:30 on a saturday afternoon. the place was busy. they have some outside seating in front with umbrellas for shade and a white trellis for separation from the street. inside, they have some two-person high top tables and some small square tables. they really need more seating because this place is popular. the store is nicely decorated and feels like a garden decor store and is quiet enough for a decent conversation.
you stand in line and order at the front counter. behind the counter are several long rows of tea jars with all kinds of teas. we had the muladahra black, a smooth black tea with a medium body and a hint of honey. it came in a very large tea pot with enough tea for about 5 of their large cups.
the perky lady behind the counter was very patient and very helpful. we ordered the quiche of the day (broccoli and cheddar) and the mushroom and spinach quesadilla.
when it's ready, thefoodis brought to your table by a guy that seems overwhelmed. he was the only person there not smiling.
the quiche comes with a small, very nice baby leaf salad. while the quiche was good, it was just ordinary. the quesadilla, however, was large, very good, and full of flavor. and the smells of the vegetarian tempeh chili from the next table were wonderful. we finished with a small bowl filled with gelato. at first it looked tiny, but the bowl seemed to have no bottom. we could not finish them. the dark chocolate was a chocolate lovers dream and the cappuccino was tasty. the only disappointment was the tiramisu which was kind of bland -- more like a creamy vanilla.
i talked with the lady at the front counter and she said they are typically much busier for lunch than for dinner. we will definitely be back.
for the lonely guys, this place is filled with women. go by and ask to share a table.

great vegetarian food, iffy staff. thefoodand tea selection here is heaven for a vegetarian. the cucumber sandwich is yummy. the hummus/salsa/tabouleh (cheese the day i got it because they were out of tabouleh) platter was a great starter. the hummus had some subtly effective flavors. the potato taco is only o.k. the eggplant sandwich is quite hearty with strong flavors. the tea of the day comes with free refills, though this isn't advertised anywhere that i can see and i only found out on my fifth visit. the only drawback is that the staff can frequently seem standoffish and disinterested. i've often felt like i was bothering the staff by ordering. the owners definitely need to get a friendlier staff.

i like it but...... ok thefoodis very very good and i love that they have vegan and vegetarian options galore but the staff is bad like real bad. i say this in hopes someone from the place will read it and make a change. they are snobish and rude kind of like "we will help you when we are ready and you will like it that way because you are beneath me". so to sum up, thefoodagain is very very good but unless you too are a snob brace yourself for a little bit of chilly service.

one of my favorites in orlando!. this was my number one lunch spot when i worked in orlando. it combines two of my favorite past times...good food....great handmade items. yes, it has a cooperative gallery in the same space. it is a great place for gifts!

ok, back to the food! the serving sizes are reasonable! yes, they are what a normal serving size should be and i for one appreciate that! thefoodis well thought out . nutritionally it is well balanced, and it is always fresh. they strive to use the cleanestfoodthey can. it is often organic.

i love the quiche. it is so creamy and light. my only complaint is they often run out, or don't have it ready for lunch. the corn chowder is almost as good as mine! the menu changes seasonally so they are keep their menu alive and ever changing. truthfully, i have never had a dish here that wasn't wonderful.

they have the largest tea selection i have seen in florida. the staff is very knowledgeable about the selection and make great recommendations.

the owners are a young couple just starting a family. this is the kind of place i like to support! we want infusion tea in lakeland!
