good lunch buffet if you are in the area and always on time for pick up if you are ordering take out. standardchinesefare and good quality clean dining. no complaints but nothing that really stands out from the rest either. that being said, i have come back for more.... :)

we ordered from hung's over the holiday's. their dumplings are great (4 to an order) and will have to order two or three orders next time as everyone wanted more. the other dishes were good, a few came with accompanying dips and sauces. the price is higher and the servings are smaller compared to other places in the area but a good place forchineseif your willing to pay extra.

our "go to" forchinesefood in the area simply because their food quality is consistently excellent! i crave their kung pao on a regular basis. their veggies are always colourful, fresh and crunchy. would have given a higher rating if it wasn't for their prices which are higher than comparable restaurants in the area.

what kind ofchineseplace charges for fortune cookies????. we have ordered from here twice and both times the food has been good. it's a little expensive in my opinion but we may be typical ofchineseplaces in the city. the thing that bugs me is that they don't include fortune cookies with your order. we spent $70 and ordered 6 dishes and they can't even include fortune cookies?? we likely will order elsewhere next time.

worstchinesefood. our work facility ordered from hungs for a 100 days of safety, and by far this was the worstchinesemeal everyone
had tasted. the chicken balls had no meat and tasted tough, like made the day previously, the beef dish
was also discusting, no flavour, noodles also. the employees were very disappointed. also there was so much
rice???

when i was living in the transcona area, my husband and i noticed hung's gardenchinesefood restaurant. we are always trying out different restaurant's around the city and after our first visit at hung's, i was totally impressed with their food! the service was good too! i miss eating at hung's and ordering from hung's. i just fell for their food, absolutely love it and would recommend it!

not really. the family service seemed nice, but the food was about as pedestrian aschinesein north america gets. i could have eaten as well out of a frozen package from the grocery store for 1/8 the price.

very good restaurant.. a friend bought a gift certificate for this place, and since then, no otherchinesefood restaurant compares to this one. the quality, the taste, the size of their shrimp!!!! (not the itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny ones either).
i would have to say everything we had was delicious that we tried. the only negative food item that i would consider not that great was the chop suey (just seemed not right). must tries: shrimp egg foo yong (big a$$ shrimp), birds nest, shanghai noodles....our most favourite ordered items. two enthusiastic thumbs up guys!!!

over rated and over priced. i just had several items from this place which was my first time here and wow everything was tasteless. i had the chicken balls, butter chicken, fried rice, vegetables. it all tasted like air. also the prices are about 15% higher for the same items at your other averagechineseplaces. i will never eat here again.

first and only experience. until yesterday, the worst experience i ever had at achineserestaurant was still better than what my group was exposed to at hung's.
the sauces were "strong" in taste, the food was served barely lukewarm, the breaded veal was too tough to cut with a regular table knife and when it was exposed the "meat" was barely visible being covered with too much breading. "where's the beef?" could have well been applied to the ginger beef as it was served..turkey gravy on a foo yong?, get serious!!
we came because we wanted a feed of harvest snow.that dish was passable but we should have stopped there.

bestchinesefood i've had. i've only tried takeout but have never been disappointed. the curry beef and chicken with almond are two dishes that i always order. the curry sauce is so flavorful that i ladle it onto my rice. the delivery is quick and the food always arrives hot. highly recommended.

wow!!. i am sort of sketchy about "chinese" restaurants. i enjoy alot of different asian foods, and it seems there are alot ofchineseplaces that have cheap poorly created dishes, as in no better than the food court. this place tho!!! amazing!!! absolutely fantastic eats!!!! and that was takeout. i cant wait to try sitting down for a meal there. the restaurant looks very nice inside. the ginger beef was glorious. deluxe fried rice mmmm!! the shrimp in the vegetables were a little soggy by the time we got home. but all in all....i will be back here again!!

bestchinesein the city!. i have been going to hung's since i was still in my mom's stomach. over the years hung's top-notch menu has delighted my family and friends alike. the service is incredibly friendly and helpful. everything on the menu is fabulous so i will list the dishes i most regularly order.

- harvest snow (very flavorful appetizer)
- spring roll (better than the typical spring roll, carroty)
- beef chop suey with dry noodles (best chop suey i've ever had)
- chicken chow mein
- hot pepper shrimp
- kung pao chicken
- soo gai almond chicken (my favorite chicken)
- koo lo chicken
- deep fried fish with peking sweet & sour sauce
- chicken egg foo yong
- hung's garden special bird nest (not the greatest food but very cool)
- four seasons
- diced chicken almond with vegetables
- ginger beef (classic)
- hung's garden special beef
- dry breaded ribs (good for picky eaters)
- steamed rice (i believe if you order two or more dishes you get the rice)
- consomme (same as above, best consomme i've ever tasted)

for dessert get the fried banana with ice cream. one word describes it: heavenly.

the lunch buffet consists of simpler classics for a wide range of appeal.

i can boast that i have been to everychineserestaurant in winnipeg, and personally hung's is my favorite of them all. so give it a try! you won't be dissapointed.

excellentchinesefood. this place is clearly one of the better options forchinesefood in winnipeg.

at lunch they feature a decent buffet for a reasonable price. the buffet isn't huge, but it features some of the more familiar dishes to choose from.

the dinner menu has some very solid choices like harvest snow which is a mixture of chicken, ginger sauce, shallots, mushrooms and crispy noodles wrapped in a lettuce leaf. they also serve good versions of ginger beef and lemon chicken as well as butter chicken. it isn't the kind you get at a curry house, this stuff is battered and cooked in a lot of butter. very tasty.

prices are reasonable, service is adequate and they usually aren't as busy for dinner as they are for lunch.
