way overrated. i have seen the lines on soco and knew that this was the most hyped burger in town. with that knowledge i went into this assuming it wouldn't live up to the hype; but i still expected a burger that was closer to exceptional than average. unfortunately, it really was a very average tasting burger that was overcooked (ordered mid-rare and got mid-well), bland (didn't seem as if the beef was seasoned at all and the sauce was tasteless) and pretty ho-hum.

what you have is the combination of a pretty average burger, that would be unremarkable at any establishment, and an ordering process that makes me wonder if they didn't intentionally make it as cumbersome and inefficient as possible, just to ensure long lines that extend out the front door.

people are raving on and on about the place, so i'm surely in the minority, but i love a good burger just about as much as anyfoodon earth, and this burger comes up way too short to deserve the hype.

burgers andfoodare very good, just think it’s overpriced. paid almost $9 for a tap beer. best deal on a burger is roaring fork happy hour. hop is a lot of hype.

yum!. to start, you have to wait in line...don't let this deter you-it actually moves along fairly quickly, and thefoodcomes out really fast once you're seated. the burgers are really good...i got the el diablo (substituted a black bean patty for the beef), and it was nice and spicy since it was topped with habaneros and serrano peppers. definitely spicy, but not over-poweringly so.
my meat-eating friend had the bison burger (can't recall what it's called), and he really liked it, and considered getting a second one.

they list where all the meat, produce and cheeses are sourced from (most are local or from texas at least), which was a nice touch. the fries were also really good! we split an order of the fries with the green chile queso...yum! the restaurant was pretty much brand new when we ate there, and the building is really nice, with a large patio, bar area, and lots of seating inside. service was also good and they have a good selection of local beers.

it must be the hype. although the place has a very hip and attractive interior and the ordering/seating process is pretty cool, thefoodis so-so and very expensive. i've had much better burgers at whataburger. the fries are ok, the service is great but it cost 35 dollars for 2 burgers fries and drinks and it was not very good. the burger was too salty.

the ordering process was very easy and straight forward and we got assigned our table. they have an interesting hybrid model in between a fastfoodrestaurant where you order at the cashiers and a waitress later assist you with refills or anything else after this first order. the environment of the restaurant is spacious and very pleasant to the eye. they have a modern metro-style décor with good color combinations and furniture. it may not be an austinite weird type place but it is definitively unique and well done.
