great place for a beer and a good sandwich.. great fries, i go for the gooch - roast beef, red onions, and tillamook sharp cheddar cheese on a fresh french roll served au jus for dipping. the bandit - smokehouse carved bbq beef brisketsandwichwith classic bbq sauce and tillamook sharp cheddar cheese on a toasted fresh french roll is good too. affordable, a crowd of all-ages, good place to eat before watching baseball at the bar down the street that has not-so-good-food.

one of my favourite places in seattle to grab a quick bite at. my favourite here was the very fine bellissimosandwichalong with the one of the best french fries that i have ever had. the smoked tomatoes and sautéed onions gave the baguette a very cool flavour. and the goat cheese just melted in your mouth! heavenly and just enough. the portions are more than enough for a person and you always walk away satisfied! quite good value for money in my opinion. a must visit.

how long does it take to make a sandwich? it took them 40 minutes to make a sandwich. people behind us were served first. not too happy being late to our next appointment.

greatsandwichthough. i'd recommend them if you have over an hour to spare.

club tasty. thissandwichis fantastic and too big for one person. share it. it's also kind of tall and hard to fit in your mouth. i wasn't expecting the yellow mustard and i would ask for no mustard in the future.

holy honey hole sandwiches. i love this place so much. they aren't putting on airs about being farm to table, making their own bacon, or any other frills. they just make incredible sandwiches. i'm not one for ranch dressing, but friends tell me that chachi's favorite is the way to go. i love the bandit when i'm looking for a saucy, bbq meaty sandwich. however, their veggie sandwiches are my favorite. the juke is just as good as any meatysandwichout there. fake chicken, bbq sauce, banana peppers and cheddar. order yours with fries. it will remind you of the diner fries you had as a kid.

luke duke and fries. this meatballsandwichhas a lot going for it. i've eaten many meatball sandwiches and this one is one of the most structurally sound. you can actually eat this one without a fork and knife and also avoid dropping a meatball. the meatballs are on the smaller side but still plenty tender and flavorful. the cheese helps hold everything together and the basil is a nice touch. i felt it could use a tiny bit more marinara sauce. however one of the biggest secrets to the ease of eating is the perfectly toasted bread. it still has that crunch but doesn't cut up the roof of your mouth. it still lets you sink your teeth in and take a proper bite without squeezing all the contents of yoursandwichout the other side. the fries are also excellent. crisp and flavorful on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.

cousysandwichshop. over all evaluations my impression is positive.

the sandwiches are big enough to fill you in and not big enough to get you stuffed not able to move.
the quality is ok, but nothing to write home about. i ordered "the dude" the steak was burned and the charred parts was left in the sandwich. they also put salad leafs next to hot steak which make the salad taste bitter and turns it to brown color. the hot sandwiches are also on a greasy side. so i would highly recommend going there if you have a hang over and you do not like/want to eat eggs with bacon.

total score: 3/5
vibe: 4/5
food: 2/5
service: 5/5

i think i’ve driven by this place over 100 times but never really noticed it. the store front is pretty inconspicuous and if you weren’t looking for it you probably would probably pass it up it as well. so now you all know, hit it up now! first impressions of this place, it really reminded me of everything else in the area…super hipster. the inside has crazy crap all over the walls and hanging from the ceiling as well as the smell of incense (i think its from some nearby stores). but don’t get too distracted cuz the line moves relatively quick compared to thesandwichspots down in pioneer square. when i came here it seemed everyone was eating the same thing…somesandwichthat came with au jus dipping sauce (aka the gooch sandwich). so of course i went for it (along with a pint of the daily cheap beer…2 beers pale ale).

delicious.... i had a delicious roast beefsandwichwith aus jus and fries. everything was fantastic, some of the best fries i have had. my wife claims the vegetarian option had the best tasting "meat" she has had on a sandwich. server was friendly despite us being a to go order.

best sandwiches ever!. i cannot rave enough about honey hole's food! every time someone visits seattle or admits to not knowing about hh, we make it a priority to go get sandwiches. i've yet to have asandwichhere that i didn't like; the bandit, el guapo, and the waverider are my 3 favorites. i find it best to always go with a friend (or more) so that you can get a taste of more than one sandwich. the sandwiches are huge and good for sharing, but their fries are too good to be shared. they're always golden and crunchy, but soft on the inside. i've never had a fry at hh that i didn't like :) go one time and it'll be difficult to only go once a week!

seriously, this was (note the past tense) thesandwichshop in seattle. however things have changed within the last 6 months. let's start with the obvious and most important aspect of any goodsandwich- the bread it's served on. this critical piece of anysandwichcan make or break the meal. honey hole used to offer multiple varieties of bread depending on thesandwichordered. all breads matched their counterpart perfectly. apparently this old way of doing business needed to be changed. now everything is served on a plain baguette for better or worse. let me tell you, its usually for the worse. yes a couple ofsandwichdo transition well to a plain baguette. however the majority do not. the quality of the baguette just isn't that good. i would assume the switch was made to lower their overhead and save a few $$$. however that wasn't the only change honey hole has made. let me itemize them for you:

the popular $2.50 fries and drink option - gone.
the world class fries - changed.
best bread in seattle - changed.
menu prices - increased.

wtf are they thinking over there? the service has always been slow here but i never complained because the sandwiches were always worth the wait. well they're not worth it anymore.

on a side note, i posted a comment about my dissatisfaction of my last visit here to their facebook page. do you know what they did? they unfriended me and deleted my post. that's how they spell customer service. unbelievable. it must be nice to pick and choose your customers like that. well here is what i have to say about that f*** this place. avoid. avoid. avoid.

i changed my vote from an "i like it" to "dislike". i won't be going back.

if it ain't broke, don't fix it!. i just removed honey hole from my favorites, and made it a 'don't like'. ya know why? i made a special trip to capitol hill to pick up sandwiches from honey hole. i ordered (what was) my favorite, the corleone. i ate a few fries on the way home. the french fries were dry and overcooked and tasted remarkably like potato chips! "hmm...i wonder what's wrong", i thought to myself. so, i get home and unwrap the corleone. "wtf is this?!?", i said loudly. the corleone, which used to be on rye bread was now on a toasted baguette. but, it didn't end there. there was barely any sauerkraut or mustard on it, and the melted cheese was literally fused to the bun! i took a bite and the pastrami tasted like super smoky beef jerky rolled in copious amounts of cracked black pepper! i kept getting mouthfuls of black pepper! there were slices and big chunks of the pastrami on my sandwich, too. it was really strange. it tasted nothing like the corleone did before. my fiance ordered his favorite, 'the chachi's favorite' and his didn't taste the same either. so, i hop on the computer to investigate and find out what's going on. turns out, they've recently made some revisions to their menu. i really wish i'd known this before ordering! not to mention, the fact that they raised the prices of their sandwiches and you can no longer add fries and a drink for $2.50. what used to cost under $20 for two sandwiches, two drinks, and two fries cost almost $26.00! on that note, i'm going to take my business elsewhere next time. can anyone recommend a goodsandwichjoint?

slightly perplexed..... i went to honey hole last night for the first time and overall it was a good experience. i had the buford t. justice sandwich. there are a couple of things that confused me about the meal though. the menu description says that thesandwichhas "sweet and tangy bbq sauce" on it. thesandwichwas moist enough and tasted good but i could discern no sweetness or tangyness from the bbq sauce. also, the menu says thesandwichhas pepper jack cheese on it but i could not detect any cheese (i looked under the bun and i i didn't see any cheese and could detect no heat from the peppers in said "cheese".) the fries, as other reviewers have said, are very good. the service was excellent also. i will go back to honey hole but i would not eat thissandwichagain.
