greatplacefor a beer and a good sandwich.. great fries, i go for the gooch - roast beef, red onions, and tillamook sharp cheddar cheese on a fresh french roll served au jus for dipping. the bandit - smokehouse carved bbq beef brisket sandwich with classic bbq sauce and tillamook sharp cheddar cheese on a toasted fresh french roll is good too. affordable, a crowd of all-ages, goodplaceto eat before watching baseball at the bar down the street that has not-so-good-food.

this is a smallplacein capitol hill. theplaceis a bit crammed up when crowded but its got a good vibe. they have a nice selection of cocktails, and their sandwiches are delicious. you can grab a sandwich here before heading out to party at capitol hill.

have been many here many times since moving back to seattle. the sandwiches are awesome, the fries and slaw are also definitely on fleek. the wait to get in can get a little crazy on the weekends. i would suggest trying to get there before 8. definitely a greatplaceto go if you're looking for well-priced, casual cuisine.

holy honey hole sandwiches. i love thisplaceso much. they aren't putting on airs about being farm to table, making their own bacon, or any other frills. they just make incredible sandwiches. i'm not one for ranch dressing, but friends tell me that chachi's favorite is the way to go. i love the bandit when i'm looking for a saucy, bbq meaty sandwich. however, their veggie sandwiches are my favorite. the juke is just as good as any meaty sandwich out there. fake chicken, bbq sauce, banana peppers and cheddar. order yours with fries. it will remind you of the diner fries you had as a kid.

i think i’ve driven by thisplaceover 100 times but never really noticed it. the store front is pretty inconspicuous and if you weren’t looking for it you probably would probably pass it up it as well. so now you all know, hit it up now! first impressions of this place, it really reminded me of everything else in the area…super hipster. the inside has crazy crap all over the walls and hanging from the ceiling as well as the smell of incense (i think its from some nearby stores). but don’t get too distracted cuz the line moves relatively quick compared to the sandwich spots down in pioneer square. when i came here it seemed everyone was eating the same thing…some sandwich that came with au jus dipping sauce (aka the gooch sandwich). so of course i went for it (along with a pint of the daily cheap beer…2 beers pale ale).

as per our annual spring break tradition, we made the trek down to seattle for some shopping, eating and picking up stuff from gps.  gps  yes, goose's parcel service.  come again  you see, goose lives in bellevue and he has been nice enough all these years to be the receiver of various items that i've purchased on the internet.  this time around, even before setting foot into one store, we had over $2800.00 worth of goods to be picked up.  yes, he does have house and contents insurance...  before anything else, our first thing to do was eat lunch upon our arrival.  theplace- honey hole sandwiches. we started the kids off on the club tasty consisting of thick-sliced bacon, zoe's black forest ham, in- house roasted turkey, sharp cheddar, lettuce and tomato on a demi baguette.  this was a neatly constructed sammie with quality ingredients.  nothing complex about it, but well made nonetheless.  we found the bread to be a bit on the chewier side which made everything slide out with each b

horrid service! wasted my whole lunch break waiting for them to make a cold sandwich!. been eating here for years and tolerated the "i hate my life" attitude that haunts their employees because the sandwiches are good. since i landed a job near by, i have been eating honey hole for about once a week. i've always been patient always bus my own table when i'm done and i tip when i eat in. then today i order my usual minus the fries because i'm in a hurry. my usual is a club tasty. it's a cold sandwhich and usually takes about 5 minutes to whip up. but for some reason today they just decided to fix up everyone else's sandwiches but mine. i had walked in and there was one guy in front of me. that guy asked if they were hiring and didn't order. so i order, then two people behind me order. then 20 minutes later theplaceempties, the two ppl behind me have gotten their sandwhiches, and i'm sitting there wondering what the ef? so another 10 minutes pass and now i don't even have time to eat my lunch. i walk up to the counter and say, "hey i've been waiting for 30 minutes for my sandwich, i just want my money back!" the guy goes, "oh we're just finishing it up, here it is". i then explain to him, "dude, i have 30 minutes for lunch and it took you guys 30 minutes to make a cold sandwhich... i don't even have time to eat it. just gimme my money back."

i wish i lived in seattle. if i did, i would go here as often as i could. i would go out of my way, detour to first hill just to go to this little hole in the wall that serves the best sandwichs ever. and the soup is always first rate. believe me when i say thisplaceis worth the walk up pike street from downtown to get to. did i also say they have a full bar with manny's on tap. and daily beer special too. from now on, whenever i come into town, the honey hole will be my first stop. you should go, now!

great food, nauseating conversation. theplacewas a little crowded at the time, so we sat at the bar. while waiting for our meal to be prepared we noticed that the bar was theplacewhere to-go orders were being placed.

once our meal arrived, a customer sat next to me to order his to-go food & proceeded to chat with the bartender as they were obviously acquaintances. the bartender asks the man, "how's your gout?" with eyebrows raised, we continued eating as the two compared gout stories. the bartender then shared with the man how the doctor stuck a needle in his bone... yeah, this is when i interjected. that was about all i could stand being that we were eating...food...in a restaurant!

the bartender apologized & they continued their conversation without using the word "gout" until the customer's order was completed, thankfully.

will we go back? probably, but only with the intention of sitting at a table away from the bartender & his colorful conversation.

funkalicious.. thisplaceis funky-fresh. the decor of theplaceis really unique without being strange -- i love the giant, menacing paper mache fish hanging from the ceiling especially.

the service was relaxed without seeming disinterested, and friendly when it should be.

the sandwich i got was massive (i finished a little over half of it) and really delish. i enjoyed how it came to me at just the right temperature for eating, so i could dig in right away without scalding my mouth. thisplacedefinitely gets points for creativity where their menu is concerned. i'll be back again.

thanks to huong for this suggestion: a really good hot/cold sandwichplacein seattle to go to for a good meal. and onto a great lunch: this is the main eating area of the honey hole. the craziness is quite amusing - i like the wild toothy fish at the upp

perfect seattle food. thisplaceis what seattle is to me. great quality food at decent prices, unique and eccentric decor and some great music. the inside is dark with crazy pictures and things coming right off the wall. the music is nice and loud so it drowns out everyone else but you and the people next to you. if you are on the uptight side you may not enjoy toe look and feel but no one can deny the greatness of the food! at night thisplaceturns into a bar and has a fuller menu but its great all day long. i would recommend the el guapo but they are all great.

yes i like it. my pork sandwich, though shredded is not my favorite, was smoky and delicious. i love what theplacelooked like and the atmosphere is cool. but, for how well staffed they were we waited a long time to get our food. also they do not cut their own fries, bake their own bread(not my biggest point), or make most of what they have on the menu. they do assemble well though...looks like all the bbq including sauce is theirs...that is a start. but for how big their kitchen is, it is not enough.
