heff's burgers

we are from lubbock and were in town for a soccer tournament. we got toheff'saround 8 and came in the wrong door, apparently the restaurant part was already closed, but the staff was so nice and agreed to stay after to cook for us! their burgers were definitely the best we have had. we will come here again and again. the people were so welcoming too which made it even better!!

worst burger experience ever. my husband and i have triedheff'son rebecca on a couple of occasions. each time the burgers were burnt and very small compared to the bun and gooped with mayo (which we both asked for none of) and the fries and spiral chip things were very cold and tasted like old grease. if this had happened once i could probably overlook it and try again but we did that and the second experience was worse. both times the employees were very rude and were more interested in their cell phones and chatting amongst one another to help us or clean off a table. we ended up cleaning off our own table (the only table clean enough to eat on had mustard all over it and we had to request a rag--which was nasty--from one of the extra rude employees to clean it ourselves) and the floor was completely littered with chunks of food and paper towels and other things from previous customers. it is a place we will definitely never go again.

this is my standard order. i prefer pepper jack cheese, and to ask for it to be cooked to medium.

i was on my lunch break and was craving an old fashioned burger. i stopped here atheff'sthinking i'd give this little greasy spoon a shot. apparently so did everyone else because the place was packed. it took about 5 minutes in line, and 20 more to get my burger. i'm a patient fellow so the wait wasn't a problem for me. when i got the burger it was huge! the twisty fries were an excellent side. everything tasted great.

cheese burger with no cheese?!. i went intoheff'stoday areound 1 they were not vusy at all yet stilll messed up my order. i ordered a cheese burger with pickles , mustered and cheese only. i got a burger with no cheese pickles and onions!!! i tried to call them but only got voicemail and no one would call me back. that was $8 down the drain, i will not be returning there, and the fries were burnt. dont eat there unless you want the wrong order, i can only imagen how bad they would mess it up if they were busy!!!

i figured i'd treat my husband to a decent meal.heff'sdelivered far better than i expected. i had the mushroom swiss burger on rye, with fries and a drink. i could actually taste the beef! plenty of mushrooms and swiss cheese were the icing on the cake. the fries were obviously freshly cut, and still had the skin on. even when i was feeling full, everything was so good that i did not want to stop eating. my husband was just as satisfied with his fries and double burger, and he finished all of it.

the bucket burger was awesome and the jalapeño bread was the best part. i wish we had aheff'sburger in weatherford.

co worker recommended. i found the recommendation to be accurate. the staff was friendly and helpful.
the burger was well seasoned and generously sized. i will recommendheff'sburger to anyone. the malts are good as well. will definitely try to work in a meal

top notch!. spent a few days in abilene recently and the most memorable meal over three days was definitelyheff'sburgers! the 1/2lb patty was juicy and flavorful and the bun was soft and a little sweet. don't expect a long list of topping choices. it's "cheese or no cheese?" "mustard or mayo?" and, "do you want the vegetables? (lettuce, tomato, pickle). but, believe me, you'll be fine. it's a really good burger! they also offer a choice of sides, with kettle chips, tater tots, or beer battered onion rings, as well as a good selection of blue bell ice cream! if you're in abilene, giveheff'sburgers a try.

good burger. ate atheff'sfor the first time and it was pretty good. i also got the twisted fries (potato chips) that were good also. will be going back there for certain.

sindy. omg...we triedheff'sfriday night. it was packed, but well worth waiting for a seat. i had the jalepeno chedder burger, jalepeno's and cheese baked into the bread. this place is no perfectly square, or perfectly round patty place. you can tell that this is fresh beef, made specifically for you. if you haven't triedheff'son rebecca lane, you need to put it on your calendar. afterwards, if there is any room, which i doubt. you can go to the old fashion ice cream parlor next door.

great burgers and friendly staff!. if you want a big, homemade, tasty burger thenheff'sis the place for you. not knowing how big these handmade patties are, i ordered a double cheese burger all the way (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle) on a jalapeno bun...it was huge. a single would have been more than enough. the fries are the old fashioned home fries, lightly salted, and hot out of the fryer.heff'salso offers other sandwiches and pizzas. their prices are exceptionally reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. they come out and visit with you, a nice twist to so many restaurants where they give you food and forget about you. definitely going to visit again, i have to try more menu items!
