heff's burgers

great burger. i had to come back and write on heffs. when i was stationed at dyess afb, heffs just opened and i ate one of the best , most delicious burgers i have ever eaten at this burger joint. definately a must go to restaurant if you live in or around abilene. so good, i once at there twice in a single day!

to die for. the first time i went to heffs my husband and i went we just moved here from the metroplex and we loved it he got the double and when we left he said he should have just got a single. then the second time we went we took the kids with us and they even ate everything. this is the place to go even though its a little hot in there it is so well worth the wait to have nice people taking care of you and talking to you. they really respect there customers. i will def go back to heffs.

best burgers in the big country. for that real ground beef flavor you can taste come here. its not like rick and carol's where the patties are so paper thin i think i saw some middle schoolers doing there algebra homework on it

lighten up ?. joseph you have a good point that people need to lighten up some when a minor mistake occurs.. but when someone asks for a clean restaurant (especially while employees are sitting around on break) there is no reason to knock them. it sounds like there needs to be some training and 1 person scheduled for dining room duty. food is still great and i'm still a fan.

twister fries !!. i like the burgers but i love the twister fries. it's very good and very busy so be patient. i do agree with the earlier review that it is very weird when they close randomly and lock doors. it smells like hamburgers and you will too when you leave but i'm willing to make that sacrifice. i wanted to edit this and add that the twister fries are much much better for dine in. when you get them to go they tend to get soft in the to go box. still think the hours are weird and wish they stayed open till 9 like all of the competition and were open on sundays.

hey scott, do you realize how many people probably go into heffs on a dailey basis? do you honestly think that a business that is doing well will run out of things... and as far as the dining room being dirty the amount of traffic of people that go in there at one time i'm surprised it's not dirtier! as a loyal customer to heffs stop complaining and enjoy the food! if you don't want to go there then don't! plain and simple! i love heffs and i heard talk of a different location of opening! i will keep going to heffs because of great food great service and great experience!

great food great staff. heffs burgers i by far the best b urger in town. and fo those who complain about it, need to just enjoy the food. the place gets very packed, however it's worth it!!! a lady, who was very rude, returned her burger the other day and wanted her money back because there was no cheese.... its cheese just ask for a slice mistakes happen! all in all amazing food, and exceptionaly nice staff!

burgers are good but.... burgers are still decent but i have noticed a real problem with this restaurant lately. they are not keeping it clean, they are running out of stuff daily (steak fingers, tater tots, onion rings, lids for cups). the temperature was at least 85 degrees in the main dinning room area and they never ever answer their phone. i will give them another try but these conditions can't exist if you plan to make it in the restaurant business.

yummy! a looooong wait but it was well worth it! especially with a nice malt from baileys next door

huge burgers!. big burgers for reasonable prices. not a big fan of the ribbon fries - but burgers were great!

mmmmmmmmmm. as a burger freak, this was very satisfying. flavorful meat well seasoned, good texture.

we both got the twister fries, and they were pretty good, but the random regular french fries that worked there way on to our plate were great - will be getting them next time.

lucys is better but stumpys has the juiciest, best tasting burger!!!

the hamburger was good, just as we had heard. but, the place was a dump. the one restroom was filthy, the dining area was hot and there was food on the floor throughout. when we pointed out the food on the floor of our booth to one of the workers he said, "looks like there were kids here," then walked away. he sat down with 6 or 7 other employees who were all ignoring the patrons and the messy tables and floors. then someone hung a hand scrawled sign on the door saying they were closing for an hour to restock. plus they locked 2 of the 3 entry doors while people were still inside eating. i don't care how good the hamburger is, we won't go back. if the front ( which is easy to clean) looks that bad, what do you think the kitchen (which is hard to clean) looks like?!

best by far. the burgers are so tasty and the twisty fries are great (i like mine crisp)

fantastic burger. great onion rings. i skip over the option of eating here 3 out of 4 times due to the line. wish they'd pick up the phone for take out orders during lunch, but i suppose they feel to busy.

dawgs bark. the only thing i didnt like was the wait.so i give it 3ws.well worth the wait.loved the burger combo with the choice of twisted fries.unless you are starving to death,you only need to order a single burger.more than enough to fill me up.burger was well seasoned and the fries were fresh.so if you dont mind waiting,come and eat.

1st visit. today was our very first visit to the restaurant! my mom told me about and after days of being stuck in the house due to the snow it was nice to try someplace new. we will be returning very soon.....
