the other, genuine freeport. this crowded, cash-only spot by the town dock is a friedseafoodand lobster pound treasure. the fried fish sandwich is outstanding: three huge blocks of flaky haddock falling out of the bun. i've enjoyed the fried calamari and chowder, as well. skip the onion rings, which seem to be fried in puffy doughnut dough, and get cornbread which is monumental in size and taste. i've never felt more in maine.
