has progressively gotten worse. the first 2 times i went here thefoodwas good. this past time i went thefoodwas bad. my sandwich was very bland and tasted like it was overcooked. the caesar salad tasted like soap, (not kidding.) then, we went another time for an easter brunch. which again was disappointing. i don't believe i'll be returning. it's too bad because this place used to be good.

eclectic but fantastic. recommended by the local campground operator as the place to go for a good but not fancy meal.. the place has several ordering windows so at first it is confusing as it what you need to do. there is no table service and if you want alcohol,it is a byob place. thefoodwas perfectly done, absolutely fresh and reasonably priced. i would go as far as to say they served the best lobster i have ever eaten. a must stop for seafood lovers unless you need a really expensive, fancy place.

awesome lobster, lobster roll & fried shrimp. seafood chowder was great. the staff is quite crabby, and there's no water view seating, but oh well, thefoodis worth it. & it is byob - which is great!

busy location but worth it. the type of place you bring that out of town friend or relative to experience shore side maine seafood. at first glance with harraseeket lobster pound's typical throngs of people, it does appear to be a tourist trap. do not mind all this and be patient and thefoodwill really deliver: whole belly clams are giants, hefty gnarled spheres of golden crust enveloping mouthfuls of ocean nectar. on the side, you want onion rings: puffy circles of brittle sweet batter around a hoop of onion that still has crunch. clam cakes are good, too, their puffy dough holding dozens of little nuggets of marine goodness. the chowder is wonderful, but best of all is the lobster roll, served splayed open in a broad cardboard dish and packed with fresh lobster-sweet chunks of meat. have it with some of the best onion rings in the area. in addition to the goodfoodlobster's are available at the 'pound' to be packed to go! do note that seating is outside with awning covered picnic tables. cash only. this is a seasonal business which opens around memorial day weekend to middle of october.
