the other, genuine freeport. this crowded, cash-only spot by the town dock is afriedseafood and lobster pound treasure. thefriedfish sandwich is outstanding: three huge blocks of flaky haddock falling out of the bun. i've enjoyed thefriedcalamari and chowder, as well. skip the onion rings, which seem to befriedin puffy doughnut dough, and get cornbread which is monumental in size and taste. i've never felt more in maine.
