the food was great it was the waiter i gave him $100.25 my food was $25.08 he bought me back $50.00 hr decided to top himself $25.00 and all i had was 2 blue motorcycles and clam chowder i tip jim $10.00 i go here all the time and yo be honest he was the worst waiter i ever had.i noticed my change when he bought it back then gonna say i tried it i have two witnesses pulled out a lot of money from his left pocket and gave me the rest of my money my feeling was so hurt that he would try and steal my money. i'm writing this review yo tell you'll yo be careful oh and ps mind you i said i gave him $100.25 and my good was 25.08 he still kept change smh he should be fired i can imagine how many people he's done this to.😡😡😡

monday had 50 cent oysters and tuesday has discounted crab legs. try the grouper and the sweet potato fries.

this is good sh......... this place had great food every thing we tried was outstanding fish,shrimp,oysters.... nothing we had was bad. this is a bar type setting in a dive kind of set-up so you are going for the food and it is worth it..

always delish. this place always hits the spot! the fish is always fresh and the crab cake comes 4 ways! its to die for! the crab soup is also delicious! not to mention the stuffed idaho baker potato is a must try. great local eatery!

went with a party of 8. it was not busy at all and it took forever to get our food. didn't order anything complicated at all. mainly just appetizers. i was so disappointed and will most likely never come back. the food came out at random times, fried food was soggy, and not at all warm.

friday dinner. we stopped in at 530 friday for a nice dinner. the food was good but i was disappointed by the loud obnoxious group at the bar. i can only assume that happy hour started very early. you could not have a conversation in our booth over it. i could understand having to put up with it if we were at the bar or even if it were later in the evening. we won't be back

thoroughly enjoyed it! the place is tiny and constantly had a line out the door. i had only a bowl of crab soup and calamari. both were amazing. calamari was cooked perfectly and the portion was huge. it even had ring, stick and tentacle calamari, which i loved. i sat at the bar and watched them shuck oyster after oyster. they looked amazing! i can't wait to go back for. 50 cent oyster night.

the atmosphere is casual/nautical. the quality of the food here is great! everything seemed to be fairly fresh. the only critique i had with the dish was that it was in desperate need of some salt to the point that the scallops had almost no flavor. this is definitely a high 3 star restaurant, it would easily be a four if the flavor was there. this restaurant is definitely worth a dinner one night you’re in the mood for seafood.

so glad we decided to come here!  the atmosphere was great, excellent service, and delicious food.  awesome beer selection.. i could go on.  we felt really comfortable, and the menu wasn't so huge that we were overwhelmed.  we had the oyster rockefeller (amazing but a small portion for the price), she-crab soup (so smooth and creamy), the crab legs and shrimp and the flounder sandwich.  the portions for the entrees were ample, and the flavor on the shrimp was crazy good.  crab legs were awesome.  highly recommend.  next time i'm trying the oysters!!!!!!!!!!

stopped in for lunch while on the road (second visit for me). we ordered the soft shell and fried flounder sandwiches. both were excellent and cooked right with a light cornmeal batter that did not overpower the food. excellent value for money

we enjoyed our meal here. not pictured is my husband's fried oyster dinner. others also enjoyed their va brews.
fast service was a plus. we will definitely be back soon.

you can try dozens of types of oysters, not just preparation styles, but different locations.  the pocahontas oysters are one of the best!  i wasn't crazy about their oyster shooter, but i got it in beer instead of liquor.  the she crab soup is incredible and the oysters rockefeller is creamy and flavorful.  great beer selection.

the crab legs were fabulous. the service was excellent. prices are reasonable. atmosphere is sport bar-ish. excellent place to bring the family on saturday afternoon.

last saturday i had a taste for some raw oysters, so i went online to find the nearest place that did the raw oysters sort of thing. harpoon larry’s was that kind of place. the newly built one, while further away than the old place, was still the closest of the 6 or 7 oyster bars near me. i remember harpoon larry’s from the old location; while the food was good, the restaurant itself was always too crowded, and it was hard to find parking. however, you would always be satisfied when your food arrived. last saturday was no different. lunch time is the best time to go if you’re trying to avoid the crowds, plus you’ll find ample parking during the lunch hours. i started out with a half a dozen raw oysters (they have several types of oysters, and they vary in size and flavor), and i finished with a nice-sized fried flounder fish sandwich. both were delicious. since i sat at the bar, i had a clear view of the football game and the lovely, world-class oyster shucker in action.

first, let me say that my wife and i hit harpoons at least once a month. this trip, 10/10/15 was the worst in history.  we have been going since it was in hampton, a dive but i think better food. service was great, hence the 2.5 rating, otherwise it would have been a 1. the calamari was great, rum runners the same.  wife's seabreeze was lacking.  i ordered crab cake and shrimp, broiled.  the shrimp came out fried and the cake was cooked on a flattop.  guess the cooks don't think we can tell the difference.  shimp were okay, cake awful, mealy tasting, did not finish it. wife had stuffed flounder, fish came out cold, the stuffing was mushy. the entire meal was not up to their standards.
