mark. their food is as good as ever, but really, $9 bloody marys on sunday afternoon, give me a break!!! bloody marys are $1 to $5 all over town on sundays. you're food is great but i can't afford your bms. we won't be back on sundays. wake up, brunch is normally a special price not a special surprise!!

awesome seafood platter. went with my sister-in-law and husband to celebrate his 75th birthday. could not ask for a more enjoyable meal. everything on the broiled platter was delirious and
was very fresh. great wait staff. everyone so generous with wishing my husband a happy birthday. can't wait to go back again.

new location, new experience. harpoon larry's was a 2-3 times a month place we would go to for seafood. since it moved to newport news i had not visited til last night (friday 11:00 pm) half of the seating was closed parking was fine. my experience was nothing like the harpoon larry's in the old location. i ordered the combination platter. nothing was good about it. the shrimp (3) we over cooked and rubbery, the crab cake was overly salty (clearly too much old bay seasoning, the sweet potato fries were soaked with oil probably due to their size that ranged from a large wedge to shoe string size (so even cooking was impossible) the oyster were over cooked and without flavor. service was slow and poor. music... the plume of nasty cigaret smoke that came in as staff and people opened the smoking section door, smh. i'll stop here cause, the truth is who care about anything else if the food was up to par. just a total disappointment! harpoon larry's of hampton you will be missed

best broiled crab cakes and key line pie in hampton roads. parking sucks, but who cares when the food is this good!

the new location is a lot better than the old location, however they don't have enough parking and most of their staff take up the available spots. was told just a little wait, which turned out to be 1 hour. food was pretty good but our waitress was slow and didn't really check on us other than to take our order and serve us. my fried oysters were pretty good though. most of the staff were out back hanging out and smoking, clearly visible by any patrons in the parking lot, they even have a circle of chairs setup so you can tell this is a regular thing which probably explains the missing staff and slow service. didn't care much for their coleslaw as it had no flavor and was really bland.

great oysters. i went here one afternoon for lunch to try out their oysters. i really enjoyed my experience here. the restaurant felt pretty cozy and there were plenty of locals. the oysters were fresh from the bay and delicious. they also had some tasty beers on tap which was surprising.

tried the mahi tacos and didnt like them as they didnt have much flavor. wasn't a fan of the coleslaw. service was fine, not enough parking and a bit of a wait to be seated. they tried to bring the wrong order (someone else's) to our table.

great lunch. first, they moved to 621 j clyde morris blvd newport news, va. this is the old yukon steakhouse location.

my wife and i stopped in for lunch and were very impressed...we will be returning!

we shared a shrimp cocktail appetizer. it came with five jumbo shrimp which were cooked to perfection and spiced perfectly. the cocktail sauce was not as heavy with horseradish as i like but was very good just the same.

my wife ordered the mahi tacos and i got the blackened tuna sandwich. the tacos came with two tacos and a side of mango salsa garnish. the mahi was very good with just the right amount of spice and perfectly cooked. they were tender and juicy. the blackened tuna was cooked to the temperature i requested, medium rare, and the blackened spice was not overdone.

we also ordered a side of hush puppies which were outstanding.

we will definitely be returning and highly recommend giving it a try if you want good seafood in the peninsula area of hampton roads.

wth!!! no shrimp pro boy. come on, but our server brooke was awesome, beautiful, and very friendly.

friday night parking was terrible. people were parking in the grass. music was way to loud. servers were wonderful but very disorganized/ chaotic. first thing to arrive at table was a ramekin of red potatoes. very good. ate them before appetizer and dinner arrived. never did bring my salad. ordered mussels in cilantro jalapeno broth. excellent. oysters were overbreaded and over cooked. hope they make through growing pains and get it together soon.

superb, well priced, best raw bar on peninsula. went with my wife and small children - noisy, but famy friendly. place is packed at night - plan on a wait.

great service & delicious food! we had the crab cake sandwich, tile fish special with roasted red pepper aioli, sweet potato fries, and raw oysters. everything was delicious! great oyster selection!! sooooo happy to have found a new favorite restaurant in the area!

awful! the new location on jcm blvd had just opened and that was their excuse for everything. ordered grilled tuna with wasabi "mashers" and seaweed salad. hot ahi on top of a mound of cold mashes potatoes with no wasabi and ringed in seaweed salad so every bite had mashed potatoes in it. yuck. my husband ordered ny steak and got a surf and turf with hush puppies with a mound mashed potatoes / steak with crab cakes. wrong order so he sent it back. got back same hush puppies, now cold mashed potatoes and broccoli and a grisly steak covered in gravy? not to mention my oyster appetizer and salad both got to the table 10 mins after i finished my dinner. had to "negotiate" what to take off the bill with the manager and still paid 55.00 for 3 of us. never again.

loved this place. hour wait but worth it. great service and amazing food
