last saturday i had a taste for some raw oysters, so i went online to find the nearest place that did the rawoysterssort of thing. harpoon larry’s was that kind of place. the newly built one, while further away than the old place, was still the closest of the 6 or 7 oyster bars near me. i remember harpoon larry’s from the old location; while the food was good, the restaurant itself was always too crowded, and it was hard to find parking. however, you would always be satisfied when your food arrived. last saturday was no different. lunch time is the best time to go if you’re trying to avoid the crowds, plus you’ll find ample parking during the lunch hours. i started out with a half a dozen rawoysters(they have several types of oysters, and they vary in size and flavor), and i finished with a nice-sized fried flounder fish sandwich. both were delicious. since i sat at the bar, i had a clear view of the football game and the lovely, world-class oyster shucker in action.
