i’ve eaten at the restaurant. the quantity packed in take away is much lesser than the quantity served on table - for the same rates

hamsa is now my favorite restaurant in chennai. i have visited thrice and would happily go again. their poo kosu varuval is a must try in starters. palak paneer, dal hamsa, gobi dum musallam, vellai korma are all excellent. gulab jamun is the best. loved their dates palm jaggery ice cream. menu is small but every item there is perfectly made and portion sizes are quite large. staff are courteous. mr raj helped us with the appointment and seating. must book an appointment or go early. we were served by rahamath. he was very friendly and guided us with choices. would definitely visit again.

had a fantastic experience having lunch. genuinely wonderful service by someone called rahamath. food was a nice combination of healthy and tasty, which sort of justifies the pricing. ambience was awesome

they don't even provide water before asking 10 times. bad service. over priced food. definitely not worth.

it was a perfect family dinning experience last evening, with tasty food, in the right ambience . although we were a large group of 14 pax, shrikanth was very prompt with the service. the manager mr raju and the chef ensured we were very comfortable. hamsa is the place to go to for fine dining, vegetarian food.

visited the place with my family, ordered soup, starters, main course and desserts.

the starters and soup was not hot, so asked the server to ensure that the remaining food is hot, the server started mocking us,

when we asked for dessert, he was like this will not be hot, another dessert he intentionally burnt it so much and got it and finally the finger bowl he got steaming hot water and said this is hot.

not enough if the food is decent, learn to teach your staff how to behave.

absolutely stunning and very welcoming interiors, courteous staff and soothing ambience. welcome sweet was a bonus. wonderful food well presented and served. tasty and very soulful with no after-taste. in short... a culinary experience in every sense. must visit for veggie folks in chennai.

one of the best place for its decor and ambience

food quality is great
had to wait for a table for a while though !

well groomed staff and recommendations from the waiters were spot on !

highly recommend for a good meal !

lunch over dinner at hamsa so that you can do justice

amazing restaurant with amazing food!
loved the antique theme of the restaurant with the gulab jamum holder being the highlighter!
would recommend the place for a fine family dining!

widelec w weekendy lubi się wyspać, stąd też stosunkowo niewielka ilość wpisów „śniadaniowych” na blogu. kiedy jesteśmy gotowi do wyjścia to a) większość lokali nie serwuje już śniadań (zawsze można jednak się poratować momentem); b) ja mam ochotę już raczej na lunch, bo śniadanie zjadłam kilka godzin wcześniej. dlatego kiedy widelec proponuje wyjście na śniadanie, łapię okazję za nogi i już nie puszczam!

the order arrived late. please change delivery estimate for this restaurant to reflect at least 20 extra minutes as the committed time was not followed.
this delay was not appreciated in the slightest.

the level of hygiene in this place is appalling, given their premium prices. i found a hair in the food that was brought to the table , and the staff did not even apologise for this. given the average quality of their food, the shabby state of the seats, and the sub par service i experienced on my most recent visit to hamsa, along with the hair in the food, the 1500 price we ended up paying per person in a group of 6 was outrageous. i would definitely not recommend the place to anyone, given the other great options available in and around adyar.

goes down with right combination of interiors. dim lights,silent ambience and great food. loved the first serving sweet and the way it’s presented as a compliment.

one of the gravies was not packed right- missing the cello tape . spillage when it was delivered . would’ve given a better rating if this carelessness was avoided
