hakkasan

we came for dim sum and it was very good. there were 4 of us and they offer an option for a prefix menu with an assortment of steamed, fried, main dish, and noodle dish to share for 2. we ordered that plus a few additional items. the fried beef puffs were amazing, fro gras dumpling was ok, duck rolls are a must, barbaque platter was very good, char sui pork is verygoodbut small portion, duck pi pa is tasty similar to peking with out the pancakes. this is not your traditional dimsum per say. they are higher priced smaller portions but still very tasty. each item seems to have extra care and time out in rather than ordinary dimsum items. the atmosphere is also very appealing. we will definitely be back looking forward to trying dinner.

hakkasan is gorgeous, but the food is greatly disappointed!

i heard of that an article about hakkasan was published in a local chinese newspaper, and this article recommended peking duck. according to the united chinese news of florida, peking duck is one of hot sellers in hakkasan with over 1,000 orders in one month. how could i miss thisgoodopportunity to taste the chinese famous cuisine. we ordered peking duck($198), duck salad($25), lamb($48), and singapore vermicelli($18). the food are egregiously overpriced! however, the food disappointed us. singapore vermicelli was burnt. lamb was raw. duck salad did not come with enough sauce. peking duck was the worst! it was totally different from the authentic peking duck in beijing. they were not worth paying such high prices. i can get the better peking duck elsewhere for much less. and our waitress told us they sold seven to eight orders of peking duck each day. omg! the article was so exaggerated!! over 1,000 order a month? a fisherman's tale!

typical steakhouse. the food and service were excellent although i felt the prices were a bit high. the menu is standard higher-end steakhouse, there weren't any real surprises or any twists which would make the restaurant a "don't miss" type of place.

date night type of place. i went to hakkasan while staying at the fountainbleau with a couple of co-workers for a conference. when we walked into hakkasan we felt very out of place, everwhere we looked were couples but we decided to stay and i'm glad that we did.

the service was excellent although our server wasn't too keen on making recommendations. she also neglected to mention that the food was family style until two of us ordered the same thing.

to sum it up the food was great, the atmosphere was good, the service wasgoodand the prices were a bit on the high side but i suppose agoodvalue.

not asgoodas mr. chow.... ...but just as expensive! no seriously, my meal was comp'd so i don't know. but it was a'ight.

not great... the waiter continue to push more and more to order things. agoodsign that restaurant is hurting. he kept pushing more appetizers, salads, sides and big steaks. just a jackass of a waiter. the sides were not impressive that steak was ok.

i went to red off of first the day before and when i thought it couldnt be worse i was wrong. why soooo expensive? bad servicegoodfood bad pricegoodformula for failure
