// hafız mustafa is a dreamy sweet shop that you can find all sort of dessert. surely you would want to tryturkishbaklava but also aşure, muhallebi, künefe and sütlaç recommended. p.s: warning ! high doses of sugar !

honestly i’m not really intoturkishsweets, but hafiz mustafa is the only place i visit in istanbul when i crave cheesy kunefe! it’s like basma in lebanon and i really appreciate how crunchy it is? their trilece cake topped with framboise is also a must try! i always visit their taksim and usküdar branches.

18.08.2019 have you ever tried a "chicken" dessert. prior to my holiday someone mentioned i must give it a try, so while on my travels and ticking off certain food must haves in istanbul, i finally gave it a try. i asked for the baked version. sadly it came cold. realised that even if you ask for the baked version of a dessert, it's still served cold. nonetheless it was soft and marshmallowy in consistency. initially you dont taste the shredded chicken but as you taste piece by piece and you look closely you can actually see the tiny shredded pieces of white meat. it's a rich dessert so i cousltn finish the portion size but definitely interesting in taste.

i had my favourite apple tea, and my sister had the chocolate baklava which was delicious. perfectly crispy with all the individual layers showing absolute uniformity and full of flavour. this place is like the quern of desserts. the amount of people constantly coming in and ordering dessert or various types of baklava, turkishdelights and nougat is astounding. not to mention they have 2 stores almost 2 shops apart in taksim square, that's besides the many other branches they have in istanbul. it's mind blowing the amount of indulgent treats this shop pushes out every minute.

theee best sweet shop in istanbul and i m not surprised by the high ratings here on zomato. we tried the baklavas, puddings and theirturkishtea. we also later packed 500gms of their assorted baklavas.
i must add what made my experience special was not just the sweets but the impeccable service. they were so much fun when they saw that we were with my 1 year old kid. the waitress infact took our child and entertained her and also gave her a candy free of cost. other staff members too were playing and giggling with my child. she had so much fun that day and we were truly touched by the way they looked after our daughter. this r the kind of experiences one likes to have as a tourist and am glad hafiz mustafa more than lived upto our expectations. this place just cant be missed when you are in istanbul!!!

probably one of the best dessert shops i have been to in my life! absolutely loveeeeeeed their baklavas! this was a daily visit for me during my stay in istanbul and i even packed a lot of these baklavas to give to friends and family back home. they tasted divine and heavenly. even tried theturkishpuddings which were delicious as well.

definitely a must visit place if you are visiting! always bustling with people and yet the staff are so friendly.

the variety here is insane and is a great place to come to get your sugar fix.

5/5 in all aspects!

when it comes toturkishsweets this establishment is one of the best out there. it defied the time as it's been in the business since the 19th century. authentic, fresh and generous. all the produced  goodies are super tasty. recently i received a box of baklava mixed selection from of a friend who was in istanbul. soooo yummmyyyy.
