so good!!!! service is great, drinks are even better. menu changes but everything i've ever had there has exceeded expectations. atmosphere and decorations are wonderful, i am excited for the new location by lambeau to go up!

had a very pleasant dinner here with a colleague. food & beer were both absolutely fantastic. goat cheese curds were the perfect unique appetizer.
as for my entree, i had the cobia which was awesome! very unique dish that was very flavorful. of course as a brewery, they brew their own beer and provided a nice selection including seasonals. i enjoyed the saison.
i have to mention that our server was very, very good. she was excellent with her knowledge of the menu and the beers. which was very good because the food took a little while longer than expected.
overall though, a positive experience and a winner.

it was a great night at hinterland - and i'm not just talking about the food...

starting in the bar (as you do), we had a great time discussing the beers available and the wines. the bar staff made it a great warmup to the main event.

and we weren't let down there either - helpful staff and excellent food / wine.

the service isn't what i would call quick, but the atmosphere was excellent so that didn't matter at all. it's just a shame they had to kick us out so they could close.

what can i say, hinterland has been such a huge part of our lives. we have quite literally had hundreds of meals here, and had some of our most important life events catered by hinterland.

let me just put this into perspective. my husband and i were married in napa, and our wedding dinner was held at the french laundry. we did a lot of comparing to hinterland during the meal, and hinterland holds it weight, no problem.

really quality meats and fish, oysters when they are on the menu, amazing vegetables and grains. i f i could make them taste like that i'd eat a hell of a lot more of them. great wines, and their mixologists are fantastic.
chef kelly is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet,
do we have our favorite menu items? yes.
our favorite drinks? yes.
our favorite servers? yes.
have there been mistakes? of course. no one is perfect.

there's no question that hland is the top restaurant in green bay. hands down.

amazing! bbq shrimp with pork belly was pure heaven. also had the beef tenderloin with a curry sauce that tasted like they melted down a mounds bar. killed the meals and service we've had at the milwaukee and fish creek locations.

beer and food. i really like the pub draught. mixed drinks had were also very well done.

dinner: duck was excellent, vegetable ok and rest so so. curry soup, salad, barbeque pork all great.

service was very nice.

incredible fish. hinterland is an exceptional place for dinner. you expect places like this in chicago or new york, but we are pleased have one here at home! along with the fresh fish flown in daily they embrace local garden vegetables, fresh beef and pork from area farmers. become a regular and you will find out what great service is all about. the staff is extremely knowledgeable about food, wine, and microbrew. if given a few days notice, they can put together a fabulous five course tasting menu and pair with wines that enhance the experience even more.

let me tell you why this place is good. i got referred to this place, traveling through gb, by a fellow bearded fly fisherman at tight lines, warning that the ground floor looks fine dining but the upstairs is just a quality pub. i could write a review on fly fishing and the type of person it takes to be successful at it but let's summarize by saying it takes appreciation of details, of the finer things in life, regardless of social class or implications. too wordy? well the beer was really solid (and i'm a st louis guy - a microbrew city and brewer myself), the food was excellent, and the staff as well as patrons were cool. i can't speak for downstairs but upstairs i made friends with the hip-dressed, tattooed 'bartendresses' and clean shaven, tie-loosening after work business patrons each - the latter insisting on buying me a fish taco (clean and subtle tastes) the former ensuring i sampled at least one i every beer on tap. my review - quality establishment with the people behind and in front of the bar to make sure it lasts.

met my girlfriend for after work drinks and dinner on a thursday. the atmosphere and decor are standout for green bay. we loved the beer, ipa for me and the cherry wheat for her. the ribeye was perfectly cooked and presented, and my girlfriend wouldnt stop raving about the pork loins.


service was impeccable. brought us the bar menu to survey just in case and explained every meal we inquired about exquisitely. if your party enjoys relaxing and some privacy, this place is for you. if you want the wait staff stopping every 30 seconds i would suggest a lower dining establishment. will be returning regularly. two entrees and a few drinks ran us around 100 with tip. very much worth it.

a very poor excuse for high end dining. inattentive wait staff (had to actually push my empty water glass to the edge of the table for attention). there too little staff. the salad was drenched in sea salt. the fish was a la long john's, the grease glistning in the candlelight. it took almost 2 hours for 2 people to eat dinner. and 20 minutes of that was waiting for the check. please save yourself a trip to the hinterlands, you won't miss anything.

good beer nice atmosphere. we stopped by for a couple of beers and were very impressed with hinterland. the atmosphere is fairly upscale -- we felt a little out of place at first (shorts and t-shirts), but the hostess directed us to an upstairs lounge that didn't seem as formal. the interior is very interesting--concrete floors/beams with modern decor. the bartender seemed fairly knowledgeable--my hubby had the white out imperial and thought it was really good. i had the cherry wheat and enjoyed that the cherry was fairly subtle and not as "in your face" as most fruited wheats. my husband had questioned the difference between the white out and the regular ipa and the bartender was nice enough to bring out a sample for him which i thought was very nice. we didn't get a chance to eat there, but the food going by our table looked and smelled wonderful. we'll have to try it the next time we are in gb. we will definitely be back

service was slow and inconsiderate. we had a bottle of wine and waited for bread for 25 minutes.the food was great. fresh fish and great steaks and sides.
