fuji japanese steakhouse

since moving to conway, i heard thatfujiis the place to eat hibachi. so i went with a few friends who had eaten there many times before. we waited about 10 minutes (not bad for a saturday night/ holiday weekend) we were seated and placed our orders and got our salad and soup. it took about 30 minutes from the time we sat down until the chef came out to cook. he barely said 2 words to us. he just made the food. no show, no conversation, nothing. when we would ask a question he would answer like we were idiots or just ignore us all together. the waitress was slow to refill drinks. then we got our checks and they added their own tip to it, but still had a spot for a tip on the credit card receipt. terrible service, food was "okay" terrible location. probably will not go back.

this restaurant is not for african americans!!! the last 3 times that i've been, the blatant racism has gotten incredibly worse. between the rude behavior, bad service, blatant disrespect & being overcharged i will not be back! it's unfortunate because i have been coming to this establishment for 5 years! tonight was the last straw!! it pains me to have to write such a bad review being that i am in the food and beverage industry myself. yet, in this climate of extreme racism and division, it's a must to inform the black community on whom wants us to support and patronize their business.fujiin springhurst is clearly not apart of our allies. and that's ok... we'll see how long they last with that type of behavior towards a community of people whose buying power is over $2 trillion a year....

i have eaten atfujimultiple times, probably 6-8 times in the last year. the food is always very good at the hibachi grill. the sushi is always very good as well. my only complaint (and this is likely just a personality issue) is that sometimes the chef seems like a robot, doing the exact same routine every other chef does and doing it every single time. many times they can say (depending on your definitionof awkward and inapropriate) very awkward and uncomfortable things and sometimes inapropriate things. i don't have the need to be entertained like that, just watching them cook would do it for me, but if you like the comedian bit, then you'll probably be pretty entertained. once again, though, the food is fantastic.

my third and last time visitingfujias the service was not up to par this go round. ordered steak and shrimp, which cost $20.50 w/o tax, not realizing that if i wasn't the server's type of customer that i would be given the scraps at the table. he fed the young women at the table then gave me what he had left. not to mention i had the biggest ticket at the table. who do you complain to? no one, as the waiter looked helpless and the chef basically told me to stuff it. i will not be going back again.

great sushi and hibachi!.fujiis the best in conway, we always make it a point to come here when we travel. their sushi is always fresh, which is not easy to do in arkansas and the hibachi is always cooked right. the hibachi chefs are always entertaining as well. i have never had a bad meal here and that keeps me coming back!

fuji has excellent hibachi with great lunch prices. i've been to quite a few hibachi restaurants in central arkansas and continue to likefujithe best. there food is fresh and is right on par with what i want from a japanese steakhouse. their sushi is pretty awesome too. id highly recommend anyone to visit!

a little on the pricey side, but totally worth it to me! their ginger dressing, and yum yum is out of this world, not to mention, you get tons of food! and i'm a huge fan of leftovers! :) overall, i thinkfujitakes the bakery for a ritzy datenight!

sushi special is good. i used to go to mt.fujionce a week and always enjoyed their lunch sushi special (around $9.99). it comes with soup, salad, nigiri, and a sushi roll of your choice. as long as you go on tuesday - friday it's good. on monday's it's a bit fishy tasting. service is on the slow side so i suggest you sit at the sushi bar since it's quick.

ugh. coming back from a short vacation and trip, i decided that i wanted to eat sushi on my last day off. i walked in tofujifor the first time, and i "sign in??" perhaps that had something to do with the alcohol, which i didn't order. as i'm looking at my menu, the table in front of me start arguing with the waiter, and 3 of the 4 people send back their food. later, one of those 3 send it back again. this should have been a clue. i look at the menu and find that it is quite expensive. i order some sushi and two rolls. the place was pretty empty, and yet the service was slow. i ran out of tea, and was never offered more, until i was ready to leave. the sushi was served without the usual wasabi, and did not look appetizing. the sushi was horrible. the rice was overcooked, the fish was sort of dry, and definitely not fresh. they compensated for this by putting extra wasabi on it. nasty nasty!

fortunately, i eat sushi regularly, so i know what sushi is supposed to taste like. had this been my very first time, i would never have eaten it again. even now, whenever i eat sushi, i think about the carp i ate here.

one of the best places to eat in conway. awesome food.fujihas great sushi - my favorite is the hollywood roll which you can't find everywhere. i usually order a sushi roll or two and a side of fried rice. i could practically drink their yum yum sauce.
