three trips and counting. this is a great little italianplacethat is in an old house. the sauce is all made in-house, fresh and delicious. the wait staff are like old friends even though you just met them. we've made it over here three times to eat, but we've driven over more than that, we just keep finding them closed (we always forget the hours). even my picky eater (the daughter) loves frank's. man, just writing this review i got hungry for frank's!

nasty!. i don't know how thisplacehas stayed open so long it's nasty the food has absolutely no flavor i've gone several times and it's always the same. my moms always wanted to try it so when she came down to visit and wanted to eat there for lunch i didn't argue with her and tell her no cause everyone does have different taste buds. let me tell you my mom is not a picky person and never complains about her food so when she took the first bite of her spaghetti and made a face i knew she didn't like it! sure enough she couldn't even eat the food she said she couldn't believe how horrible it tasted. well we learned and will definitely not be going back.

disappointing dinner. the food was bland, service was decent - but overall a real tummy turner! sad to say but not the sameplacei fondly remember as a child

if you like italian food this is your place. my wife and i have been coming to thisplacefor years and we have never ever had either bad service or bad food. if you live in corpus christi and have never been here you have got to try this place. if you are from out of town you really got to try this place. it will be another reason to come back to corpus christi.

really good!. this is a really goodplaceto eat. i had cheese ravioli & my husband had lasagna. they both were awesome. true itilianplaceto eat!

really good food! great people too!. as a visitor to corpus, it was nice to find a little localplaceto eat. the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and the staff was really attentive and gracious. i had the chicken parmasian and it was good, as was the bread and salad i got. the death by chocolate was also tasty. will defineately visit again when i'm in town.

yummy!!. delicious and quaint, thisplacemade me feel like i was in a real italian house! =) will definitely visit again!!
-although it has odd hours. they close in the afternoon and re-open, weird.

delicious!. loved this quaint little place. serving classic italian american fare. this is a really family business, with the children trying to help out with service where they can. the menu was somewhat limited. but everything was delicious. the wife got fettucini alfredo with grilled chicken and loved it. i went with a sample platter (spaghetti, beef ravioli, and lasagna). all server delicious! we did not try the pizza, but it looked very good. we would recommend thisplaceto anyone in corpus.

thisplacehas always been a favorite of mine - excellent pizza!! at lunch they don't serve pizza but they have amazing pizza bread which is just garlic bread topped w/ cheese & toppings. yum!!

a friend recommended we experience frank's, and we are glad he told us about it. frank's is so much more than we expected. this was so much better than a national chain.

it was a weekend, so there was a crowd, but that did not hinder the excellent service. the wholeplacemade us feel all warm and cozy.

the cuisine was superb. my partner ordered the shrimp parmesan, which he said was very good. he commented on how tasty the tomato sauce was.

since i could not make up my mind, i ordered the combination plate, which was lasagne, spaghetti, and ravioli. all were excellent.

the couple we were dining with ordered a pizza. we all sampled the dishes on the table and i can confirm the pizza is great.

when in corpus and want something italian, check out frank's spaghetti house.

awesome! the food was great, the waitstaff was oddly dressed (street clothes, no uniforms) and the atmosphere was quant authentic. frank sold theplaceto our waiters grandmother in 1980, before he was born, and he knows alot and talks alot which was good and bad ( he kept talking to us as our soup and salad was brought to the table) ...overall our anniversary dinner was great and will definatly go again! this just might have become our traditional anniversary dinner spot!

the bread was great, other than that i have nothing nice to say. it took us 50 minutes to get our meal and only one person actually enjoyed their meal. we will not be coming back. i was very disappointed especially concidering how authentic theplacelooked.

so awesome!. thisplaceis dark, romantic, and very delicious! the prices are only slightly higher than chains like olive garden but the quality of the food is so much higher and you can taste the love in each dish. the red sauce they use is made in house and has to simmer for 6 hours to concentrate the flavor. my favorite is the chicken alfredo and a side of the garlic bread. the alfredo has hints of pepper and nutmeg which work together to form a delicious barely sweet but extremely savory dish perfectly complemented by the intense garlic flavor of the bread. if you need a greatplaceto go on a date, this is it!

a staple of "old school" dining in the corpus christi area, franks has a few perks for anyone looking for american italian food.

don't get me wrong, the food is good, but when you consider the price point, it drops the food down to the 'ok' category. if you're looking for a plate of spaghetti and meatballs or another simple pasta plate, this is theplacefor you. the inside is a little dark, but that adds to the atmosphere of a house-renovated-restaurant, of course at lunch time, you go blind for a half-minute while your eyes adjust to the interior.

not bad for a nice date, but definitely a popular place--not for a real quiet private date thats for sure.

its in an area that makes some residents of corpus christi cringe a little when driving through, but by no means is it in a bad area.
