frank's spaghetti house

best ever. perfect down home italian with great atmosphere and great help that really treats you like family. i order the combination, as it has spaghetti, ravioli, and lasagna and it is inexpensive and great! i urge every one that visitscorpusthat they will love it and have a blast

if you like italian food this is your place. my wife and i have been coming to this place for years and we have never ever had either bad service or bad food. if you live incorpuschristi and have never been here you have got to try this place. if you are from out of town you really got to try this place. it will be another reason to come back tocorpuschristi.

big regret. i tried this restaurant on a business trip tocorpusdue to the positive reviews on urbanspoon.com. it was a big mistake!

it's a small, cozy restaurant. it's got a very "homey" feel, so we were excited when we got there.

however, service was terrible. once we were seated, it was like we were forgotten. no menus, no water... nothing. after 15 minutes, a waitress asked us if we had been given menus. then it took another 20 minutes before someone came back to see if we were ready to order.

the food was terrible. i ordered a salad with my meal- it was the same lettuce mix bag you can get from any grocery store. that and one half slice of a tomato was the salad. plus a puddle of ranch over it all.

the garlic bread tasted exactly like (and looked exactly like) the frozen pepperidge farm garlic bread.

i had a side of spaghetti with my meal- the tomato sauce was terribly sour.

my husband's ravioli was also from the freezer aisle of some grocery store. it tasted like the stuff i have bought from kroger in the past.

the only likable thing about this restaurant is the set-up. it really comes across as a "hole-in-the-wall" place, but it fails to deliver on the food.

a friend recommended we experience frank's, and we are glad he told us about it. frank's is so much more than we expected. this was so much better than a national chain.

it was a weekend, so there was a crowd, but that did not hinder the excellent service. the whole place made us feel all warm and cozy.

the cuisine was superb. my partner ordered the shrimp parmesan, which he said was very good. he commented on how tasty the tomato sauce was.

since i could not make up my mind, i ordered the combination plate, which was lasagne, spaghetti, and ravioli. all were excellent.

the couple we were dining with ordered a pizza. we all sampled the dishes on the table and i can confirm the pizza is great.

loved it!. a hidden gem in oldcorpuschristi. our party of 4 ate lasagne, fettucine with shrimp, eggplant parm and shrimp fra diavolo. salad, soups, bread.... all good. really enjoyed the place, wait staff and food. homemade. you can taste the love.

always good.. i come here every single time i am in corpus. last night my husband and i had veal parmesan, fried mushrooms, chicken san marino and tiramisu. every single dish was awesome. hardly ever do you go to a restaurant where every thing you order is very good. my husband's veal melted in his mouth it was so good. anyway, if you are incorpuschristi, venture over to frank's - it is worth the effort!

a staple of "old school" dining in thecorpuschristi area, franks has a few perks for anyone looking for american italian food.

don't get me wrong, the food is good, but when you consider the price point, it drops the food down to the 'ok' category. if you're looking for a plate of spaghetti and meatballs or another simple pasta plate, this is the place for you. the inside is a little dark, but that adds to the atmosphere of a house-renovated-restaurant, of course at lunch time, you go blind for a half-minute while your eyes adjust to the interior.

not bad for a nice date, but definitely a popular place--not for a real quiet private date thats for sure.

its in an area that makes some residents ofcorpuschristi cringe a little when driving through, but by no means is it in a bad area.
