four pegs beer lounge

slow. taking over 30 min to order i finally went to the bar to order. waiting 55 min after i ordered to get my food. if there busy walk out.

soooooo good!!! i had the chicken and waffle sandwich and it was amazing. the chicken was very crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. the maple sauce that it was dressed with was so flavorful and just the right amount of sweet. my husband had the four pegs burger with poutine fries, thank goodness he shared with me because it was so delicious. the atmosphere was very calm and cool, we were probably not cool enough to be there but i am glad we tried it. we tried a flight of beers that the very knowledgeable bartender recommended, all were tasty but the best was the pit stop. it was sour and paired really well with both of our sandwiches. if you want to try something new and really cool (even if you are an unhip married couple celebrating your 8th wedding anniversary) i highly recommend four pegs.

this place has the best chicken and waffle sandwich and some awesome fried green tomatoes. i'm always intrigued by the different flavors of creme brulee. as far as service i've not had a bad experience but it goes from average to good. normally go at lunch but i have been around for dinner. i prefer lunch time due to less noise.

really enjoyed it. we went for lunch on a saturday. the bartender was doing everything but cooking and he did a great job. he was very friendly and helpful regarding the beer selection. the food was good - loved the fries. if we lived closer, this would be our new hang out.

always looking for new and excellent food - found it!!!!!. always up for trying something new and different. this place had good reviews on line and my wife wanted a good burger.
boy did we find a winner!!!! this place is wonderful. nice and friendly not too loud, a real neighborhood place to feel at home.

now to all those terrific beers and the food. you have to have the salmon wontons - the best!
the burgers are huge, well made with high quality fixings. - winner!!!
the fish and chips with poutine fries - outstanding. the gravy is spicy and flavorful the fries are perfectly fried and the portion is huge. the cod fillet was also monsterous and perfectly fried - terrific!!!

this place is a winner!!!!

thanks. happy to drink amd eat at the ony place of snutzleberg that the seats dont hurt my bottem. while other plaves are uncomforble to be honest, this one doesnt. get to 4 pags fast!

tuesday wing night. wings are outstanding. nice atmosphere but more of hangout/bar than restaurant. nice beer selection and good food, dragon burger was also great.

bad service; cold food. i wanted to like this place. this is the second time we have been there and service was terrible. it was like the kitchen just made the orders they wanted to make and ignored others. total space cadets. if they want to run a business, they should try to do so. if they want to have a party, they should just do that. but what they're doing doesn't work.

hit or miss. been to this place three times by now since we live close by. first time, the very aloof bartender with the attitude of a snooty maitre d' took our order with a show of annoyance. we waited with trepidation but the girl who delivered the food was sweet, attentive. food was good. so we went back again. well, the bartender hasn't changed. service this time was ok, had to ask for silverware, ketchup etc. so we went back the third time (we do live very close by :-)), and it sucked. the order took 15 mins, food came an hour later, dessert order got missing. the chef came out and gave us a card for a free appetizer but don't think we are going to be using that any time soon. we really wanted to like the place but the owners must not care about creating a clientele.

in response to "never again". just so everyone knows, this is coming from one of the bartenders at four pegs. i was the "cold person" behind the bar who served the people who wrote the review "never again." and i wanted to clarify a few things. first of all, we were busy that night and i was sending back one entree order every 3 minutes for 3 straight hours, so our kitchen was a little backed up. nevertheless, it did not take a hour for them to get there burgers. they were not even there for a hour. i also tried explaining that certain items can get backed up if everybody orders the same thing, while other items can be made faster if they don't require the same parts of the kitchen to make as the backed up items. i guess he didn't think that was a sufficient answer. as for "the cheesy goop," that was due to a kitchen error that caused them to get free poutine. i didn't realize that they had received poutine by mistake until after they left, but if they had asked, we could have made fresh fries for free in three to five minutes. finally, in addition to apologizing for the wait, i even went so far as to give them a coupon for a free app for their next visit. but i guess they won't be using it. i know that you can't please them all, but i wanted the record to stand that i at least tried.

never again. service sucks. burgers took an hour while people who
ordered 30 minutes later got their fried chicken
before us???? either old chicken laying around or the
worlds coldest grill.burgers were grey and flavorless.
i asked the cold dude behind the bar if they came with fries
and he said yes but failed to mention they were drowned
in cheesey goop - gross....... do yourself a huge favor
and go to one of the other great places in louisville
and skip this lackluster establishment.

haven't been back. had the worst service ever @ this place a while ago. i want to support our neighborhood, but every single member of the serving staff would not even acknowledge our presence & our server was rude & acted put out to serve us. find another job if you don't enjoy interacting with people! horrible service that has made us never go back. i heard that four pegs changed owners or management. did they change out the staff as well?

good food, good beer.. four pegs (formerly germantown cafe in my childhood), is pretty good. the food has always been delicious... my favorite are the fried green tomatoes (maybe the best i've had in the city?), and the fries. the chicken and waffle isnt too bad, but its severely heavy and definitely worth splitting. a great beer selection is available and the service is fast and straight to the point.

germantown highlight. so much better with service, good burger and beer.

service sucks. but who really cares? this is a great place to throw back some beers and burgers, won't break the bank. stop in when you're in the neighborhood, not really worth driving across town to visit.
