just had lunch here. service was excellent and so was the food. price was moderate and drinks were good. had the shrimp and grits. doesn't sound good but they were delicious and i would order again. my husband had the crab cake sandwich which he said was very good. we can certainly recommendfleetlanding.

mediocre. i have had good meals atfleetlanding, but my most recent visit was very mediocre. crab stuffed oysters appetizer was bland. seared scallops had no flavor or "sear." crispy flounder was ok, but still required lemon to make it acceptable. waitress didn't care that we didn't finish anything and my plate was nearly untouched. she asked if i like it and i said "no" and explained the problems. she offered to bring something else, but they had already done poorly three times so i really didn't want more bland, mediocre food. maybe they had a bad night, but i'll think twice before returning.

a local guy sent us. the guy we bought our carriage ride ticket from told us to go tofleetlanding. he said "it's where the locals go". our quick lunch was terrific. my flounder and my wife boiled shrimp were satisfying and priced right.

go for the view, enjoy the food. the food is good, nothing to write home about, but good. the view and the bar are exceptional.fleetlanding probably has the best view of the harbor of any restaurant or bar in charleston. the servers are friendly and helpful. inside can be a bit loud, but if you can get a seat outside in the spring or fall, you will want to stay for hours.

we were recommended this restaurant by someone we met while in charleston for good seafood. we were told this place did not need a reservation, so we didn't make one. upon arrival there was no parking so we parked in a nearby parking deck (no big deal we love to walk). once inside the wait was 30 minutes. i asked for a menu and was told there was not enough real, plastic ones so i could use a paper one; there was a fairly large stack of real ones though. immediately after i received a paper one, a man after me asked for a menu and the woman delightfully gave him a real one despite telling me there weren't any to give away, so you can take that as you will. after watching several families and couples go by with no wait, we grew impatient and left after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting. i personally was not impressed with the staff, wait time, and seating system atfleetlanding. hopefully others will have better luck than us.

of the three dinners i enjoyed in charleston, including two seafood restaurants, fleetlanding was my favorite. there was a bit of wait time since we didn't have reservations, but it was a nice location for waiting and the food was definitely worth the wait. i keep daydreaming about the stuffed hush puppy appetizer. oh my! it was so delicious. my shrimp and grits was delicious as well. there was so much food that i had to take half my entree home with me. my wife's crab cakes were so light and fluffy like no others i have tasted. if i could have, without my wife thinking i was crazy, i would have returned for another meal atfleetlanding before heading home.

we had an incredible meal atfleetlanding yesterday evening. you can't beat the view, and the service was excellent. we had a few appetizers that i would highly recommend: the crab bruchetta, the calamari steaks, and the stuffed hush puppies were to die for!

great service. our dinner atfleetlanding was very good as our server took excellent care of us and we didn't want for anything. the pre-meal biscuits with honey butter were delicious as was the creamy spinach and artichoke dip. the atlantic salmon was firm and did not have a "fishy" taste. the sides, mashed potatoes and red rice, were relatively average. the pasta was cooked correctly, tasted great and was a huge serving with carrots, yellow squash, broccoli, tomatoes, cheese, olive oil and pesto. all in all a very enjoyable dining experience.

best shrimp and grits ever!.fleetlanding has the best view in charleston harbor. the place is always busy and the food is very good.
they have the best, most creamy, fluffy grits that i have found. the shrimp and grits are heavenly.
their triggerfish sandwich is very good as is their flounder. i have never had a wait.
the service is about average for a restaurant near the cruise terminal. not terrible, but busy.
everyone we have taken there was impressed.

service was great as was the food. we started with the she crab soup. (delicious and cheesy) then my husband had the trigger fish and i had the grilled shrimp salad with grapes, sugared pecans and gorgonzola. yum! restaurant is one of the few actually on the water (old navyfleetlanding, hence the name) and very close to the charleston street market.

i try, i really try to likefleetlanding and have dined several times but each time, leave disappointed. if you are looking for location alone, this is your place but you won't find fine charleston cuisine here.

pretty good food, communication problems throughout. the first time i went here i was not impressed. been twice since and it has gotten better every time. the food is pretty good and fairly priced for waterfront dining right in the tourist central of charleston. i noticed when i got home that i was charged $33 more than what my bill was. i called immediately and my information was taken. i was told i would receive a call in 24 hrs once the receipt was found, etc. no call the next day so i called back. the front desk gave me some bs excuse that sometimes it takes a couple days since they have so many receipts. i told her i wasn't in a huge rush over it and i would look forward to a call in the next 24 hours with a resolution. next day, no call. i called 4 days after i originally called and finally got through to a manager. he looked up the receipt on the phone and issued a refund of the overage. no mention of hey, sorry for the inconvenience let me make it up to you since this could have obviously been handled days before without giving you the run around. just a sorry it took so long. yeah i'm sorry as well, this place is pretty good, but it just rubs me the wrong way and next time i will find a new seafood grill to try in charleston. blvd diner on mt. pleasant has just as good of seafood, so if you are looking for a meal without a week long headache give them a shot! if not, tryfleetlanding and pay in cash.

seafood on the water!. this is a great spot. i have been going tofleetlanding for years. they have good food and are a great lunch spot. the best thing is that they are the only restaurant in downtown charleston that is on the water. great views, good food, and the rarity of having their own parking lot make this a great local spot.

great seafood, cool ambiance.fleetlanding has sort of a quirky yet sleek and cool look on the inside. it looks like a fancy diner with a nautical theme to it. it's also right on the water so it has a very nice view of the harbor. if you like seafood you'll really likefleetlanding. it is a bit pricey for the amount of food you receive though, both times i went i left still feeling a little hungry. but nonetheless, the food is great and seafood is locally caught. the service is pretty good, the food came out quickly, and the servers were very nice and helpful, however the service was a little impersonal when i went. overall i'd sayfleetlanding is a great place to get a fancier yet still casual seafood dinner. the shrimp and grits is one of the best things and most popular things on the menu.
