disappointed. we had a 5:00 pm weekday reservation and we were seated promptly and pleasantly. the restaurant was not crowded. it took quite a while, just under ten minutes, until a waitress came over and brought two glasses of water. then she said "what are you really going to drink". to which i replied " water" since i had a long drive to our next motel and my wife had taken medication. we ordered an appetizer of fried oysters. when presented there were eight or so fried oysters all on the small side. four of which were so small and shrunken that they had none of the qualities of fried oysters. our entrees were okay, but certainly far from anything memorable. not once during our dinner did someone come around to ask if everything was okay. nor did anyone come by to refill out glasses of water. for that we had to ask another waitress as she walked by.

i ordered from the vegetarian menu and was served a plate that was vegetarian besides a big hunk of sausage in it. this was very disappointing. the waitress was very nice, but the manager then came out and tried to tell me that i had mistaken a the sausage for a tomato.

we were recommended this restaurant by someone we met while in charleston for good seafood. we were told this place did not need a reservation, so we didn't make one. upon arrival there was no parking so we parked in a nearby parking deck (no big deal we love to walk). once inside the wait was 30 minutes. i asked for a menu and was told there was not enough real, plastic ones so i could use a paper one; there was a fairly large stack of real ones though. immediately after i received a paper one, a man after me asked for a menu and the woman delightfully gave him a real one despite telling me there weren't any to give away, so you can take that as you will. after watching several families and couples go by with no wait, we grew impatient and left after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting. i personally was not impressed with the staff, wait time, and seating system at fleet landing. hopefully others will have better luck than us.

a nice location though a little run down, but great food and fresh catch dishes. the fried green tomatoes were wonderful as well. this and hyman's are big tourist trap destinations but still fun for locals as well

fast service (3pm). fish (encrusted cod) done to perfection. good service, reasonable serving size (no need to take a doggie bag home, but big enough). friendly folks.

i'm giving fl a 4 star review based off of the food of the rest of my party. if i had gone by myself and ordered the same thing, i would give them a 3 probably. overall, the atmosphere was good. we sat outside along the harbor. inside was very loud, but it is a small place. members of my party had she-crab soup, crab cakes, shrimp and grits, lowcountry boil, and i had the $23 atlantic salmon. everyone seemed to really enjoy their main course and sides. my salmon was delicious, cooked with crispy edges and still fleshy and moist inside just how i like it, but my mixed vegetables were cold and very underwhelming. the garlic mashed potatoes were okay. not bad, but not great.

fleet landing was in a great location. located right new to waterfront park and city market. the food was good. had the fish and chips. the fish could of used a little more flavor. the biscuits were amazing with sweet butter. and the pecan pie for dessert was fantastic!
