beststeakever!. my husband has always said eat what ever the restaurants specialty is, however neither of us are seafood people. but, i have always wanted to dine there because the decor and ambiance is amazing. not one detail left out. we both ordered asteakand were shocked at the quality and perfection it was cooked. we thought it was a fluke and didnt go back for a year, afraid it wouldn't be the same and we didn't want to ruin the memory. we've gone 10 times since and each time was the same perfection. we've dined at the best chop houses and nothing compares.

truly delectable dining adventure. all of dining experiences associated with talk of the town restaurant group have never led us down in our high expectations of flavor and service...and 99% of the time, exceeded them.
our latest visits to fish bones delivered a phenomenal taste extravaganza. beginning with the recommendations and efficiency of our server, karen quinn, our appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts were paced at a relaxed and manageable level so that we could genuinely savor every delectable bite.
my spouse considers himself as a true connoisseur of lobster bisque – and firmly convinced fish bones wins the grand flavor prize! he followed up with the 20/20 surf and turf, of which he claims the 20 oz dry aged filet mignon was the best he had ever tasted! and he was rating it with hissteakat bern’ssteakhouse in tampa! it was accompanied with a 20 oz cold water lobster tail that he claimed was tender and sweet he didn’t need the drawn butter to enhance the flavor (but yes, he still indulged!).
i had the fresh fish trigger fish, which was grilled to perfection. i rarely, if ever view trigger fish on local menus so i seized the opportunity and was thoroughly impressed.
we ended our meal with dessert – i had the authentic key lime pie, delivered true to description and not too sweet. my spouse had the red velvet cake which was topped with crème cheese icing.
throughout our time there, annette cavallaro, the dining room manager was constantly circulating the restaurant, welcoming new table guests and introducing herself, as well as revisiting to ensure our dining experience was more than satisfactory. there are private dining rooms, a cocktail lounge, raw seafood bar and main dining room - all exclusive to one another, each offering their own ambience and low level of noise and traffic.
i never hesitate to recommend fish bones or any of talk of the town restaurants to visitors or locals, and i always receive a follow up “thank you” for sharing my favorite!

beststeakin seminole county. i (scott bender orlando) have been coming to fishbones lake mary ever since they opened a few years ago. when i ran sosocial sosocial orlando networking events, fishbones hosted several of our networking happy hour events and business luncheons and did a fantastic job!

i love happy hour at fishbones. the outdoor patio is great, but for me, the cool and intimate inside bar is my preference. all of the bartenders are great and even when slammed; know how to be attentive to the guests. they always remember my special martini.

the food at fishbones is always consistently great and have the beststeakin seminole county!

most of the meals i eat at fishbones are at the bar. great service, attentive bartenders and an operating partner (mary varouh) who really and genuinely cares about her staff and customers.

last night, i had the pleasure of another awesome dinner (filet mignon) and their brand new buttery cheesy bread. wow, it was perfectly cooked and the service by stephanie at the bar was the best ever.

if you are looking for a greatsteak(or seafood), fishbones lake mary is definitely worth every penny! if you are looking to entertain a group, they also have really nice private rooms and are so accommodating to any budget.

let mary or any of the bartenders know scott bender orlando florida referred you. you will not be disappointed and have a fantastic meal!

lots of potential but failed on service, quality and price. top issues while dining there on several occasions were; drowned the salad in dressing, rude waitstaff and a $38 filet mignon that was worse than a hangarsteakcut.

a bit better than average. fishbones has been a good lake mary staple for quite some time. it offers some of the best sushi, steaks, and seafood in the area at fairly reasonable prices for the type of establishment. the quality of the food was always matched with top notch service in a warm inviting atmosphere.

for a nice refreshing starter, try the blue crab. severed in a martini glass on a bed of romaine lettuce, the crab meat is succulent, sweet and has smooth texture. if you never had crab before, this is the one to try. if you have a larger group, try the sampler platter. not only do you get the blue crap martini, but fresh oysters, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and smoky bbq shrimp.

i am a meat lover, so you will find a goodsteakhere. while my bias for the beststeakin the central florida is still del frisco's, fishbones still has several great options. try either the dry age bone-in ribeye, ny strip, or the prime rib if available. eating the bone-in ribeye reminds me of the flintstones, a huge piece of meat with the rib bone attached. definitely a choice for the hearty of appetites. if you want a lighter fair, go with the lamb chops.

fish and sushi lovers will also not be disappointed. one good thing is the seafood menu does change based on the seasonality of the fish. my personal favorites are mirin-wasabi glazed black cod, yellowfin ahi tuna, and the blackened grouper.

currently they are offering a great happy hour for sushi lovers, 50% off the sushi menu between 4:30 and 6:30 monday through saturday. my only concern has been the cooked food during this happy hour. during my last two visits during happy hour, both my dishes were over cooked. the first time, i ordered chicken and it was extremely dry and over cooked. the saffron orzo was also over cooked and had the texture of wall paper paste. the second time, my prime rib was also overcooked and had a lot of connective tissue. hopefully the standards will come up to par really soon as i know they can produce higher quality food.

overall i would give them 3.75 out of 5. if they can improve the quality during happy hour, 4 out of 5.
