best fish thali in pune. visited on a weekend for dinner. the owner was super friendly and made excellent recommendations. i am glad we went with his suggestions since thefoodwas really nice. flavourful and with perfect balance of flavour and spice level.

first we went to law college road and had an awesome experience where prawns alu wadi was complemented and the experience was great

second visit i took my mom and she has a detailed eye on howfoodis cooked and her verdict was "awesome" which i think justify the quality taste which is given

third visit was with brother and we ordered special fish thali, which had pomfret, surmai fry prawns curry , goan curry the whole thali was awesome
this was suggested by owner himself and it was a right call the whole experience was just full of taste ....!!

ordered a surmai & a pomfret special thali.. the fish was hard & rubbery.. & the curries were bland.. we literally had to leave half of ourfoodwithout eating. the manager insisted for a complementary kharvas after hearing our complaint, but i don't think that changes anything. yes, the place is clean & presentation is good. but our 1700rs.was for the food, & it totally got wasted !

this is a must visit place if you are in pune. thefoodis divine. every morsel is so flavourful that it feels thefoodshould never end. इथे फक्त पोट नाही तर मन ही भरते.

fish is my soul food. after a long time i found a place where i my soulfoodwas served to its perfection. i have enjoyed every bit of it . to add the experience the ambience is a cherry on the top. you will get the comfort of home while your taste palate is served with the fish cooked to its perfection. thanks to mandar joshi and bhushan desai sir who helped us select the perfect dish on the menu. i would highly recommend this place. it is worth the visit.

fish curry rice.. as simple as this place sounds, the flavors are immaculate. home stylefoodwith pure joy and service beyond belief. i actually had an epiphany here that sol-kadi traditionally doesn't have ginger flavor in it. highly recommend this place for lunches and dinners. i had an opportunity to peep into the kitchen, this place has a clean kitchen just how any of us would have at home.
also, for people who dread coming to sp college chowk, tilak road thinking parking may be an issue, guess what.. they valet!!!😎😎

i am totally a seafoodfan.. i can eat anything and everything when it comes to sea food.
whenever i want to satisfy my tummy with yummy sea food.. i visit this place.
they recently opened their new outlet on tilak road and i am happy because its near by my place.

this location is just perfect, you dont have to search for this place. its on the s. p. college square, opposite grahak peth.

place is huge, has indoor, outdoor, personal party section and a meeting section too.. so you can plan where you wanna seat as per your requirement.

lets talk aboutfoodnow, they dont just serve fish.. but they have so many varieties like prawns, crabs, clamps, bombay duck and many more.. so whatever you want to eat.. they will serve it hot on your plate.

marinated pomfret stuffed with flavourful coconut mash.. is a must try

tisrya masala
clamps cooked in coconut based masala will surely make you drool

thecha bombil
thecha stuffed inside bombay duck and shallow fried to the perfection

the new outlet of fish curry rice on tilak road gives you a very warm maharashtrian home kind of a feel the moment you enter. the reason being that it is opened in an old home (a wada in fact) which has been converted into a restaurant. you can still find the old doors, heavy latches, and staircase of old times intact. though the seating area is modest, it has outdoor seating, indoor seating on the ground floor and first floor, a separate terrace seating just for two, and also a section dedicated for big groups.
when it comes to seafood, fish curry rice is one of my favorite restaurant in town.
my favourites here are the thecha stuffed fried fish. i especially like the bombil and bangda fish in this option.
another delicious dish that i tried this time was the prawns green fry. if you like prawns, then do not miss this one.
of course, the fish thalis here are great but if you like to try something different then do try the prawns khichdi, i am particularly a huge fan of this dish.
overall, the new outlet is pretty good. thefoodwas fresh, the service was quick and up to the mark. i will definitely visit this restaurant again.
