fearing's restaurant

dallas was our last stop after a month of dining twice daily across the country.  as we were staying at the ritz, we booked in for dinner at fearing's - what a find !
the enthusiasm of the staff to ensure that our dining experience was excellent set the tone for the evening.  wait staff we hovering for any needs but never intrusive.  the menu choices were explained in detail, meals delivered in a very reasonable time and they exceeded expectation - i was adventurous enough to try the antelope which was very, very enjoyable and the experience made all the more rewarding with the chef coming to our table and explaining the cooking methods used.  portion sizes were generous and the quality of entree, main & desert was of the highest standard.
the wine choices were as good as we saw in the us, covering local and a wide range (variety, location and price) of imported wines.
what agreatexperience !

based on a recommendation from the chef's mother we visited fearings while in dallas for a graduation. starting in the bar with a spicy cocktail and ending with a sampler of new desserts this place did not disappoint. the selection was diverse and delicious. we enjoyed our seat in the "kitchen" dinning room. the chef made the rounds and visited with the patrons. inventive foods,greatservice.

my absolute favorite restaurant in dallas. plus, dean fearing is just the best. he came and explained the menu to my table and it was agreatevening.

people who live life worrying about having crazygreatfood and service on each birthday need to go to fearing’s. service being out of control perfect is something that’s often hard to find. who wants to worry about being turned & burned on their birthday? fearing’s would love for you to stay as long as your brain tells you to. every time we have ever been to fearing’s, we’ve been blown away by the entire experience. dean fearing is to food like sinatra is to new york city. he is the chef-bomb.

fine dining at its best. if you want to treat yourself, get swanky and have somegreatfood, then go the fearings and go hungry! the food is delicious, and dean fearing personally comes out and sees each table so that's always a nice touch. they offer a vegetarian menu as well, and seasonal dessert menu. all the food is wonderful, the hardest part is deciding what to have.

staying at the ritz on valentines day was by far an exciting ordeal.
in addition to the ritz it was luck that w also got a table last minute into fearing's because we went to happy hour for complimentary cocktails and hor devours. we enjoyed ourselves so much we camceled our reservation at the palm and decided to stay when abtable was offered.
the food was fantastic! the bisque, sea bass, and the french martinis were beyond expectations. a very swanky place as it reminded me of a future episode of "the real housewives of dallas". the highlight of the night was when chef fearing himself came to our table to ask us how we enjoyed our meal. he was very polite and quite friendly. the atmosphere of the restaurant would have beengreatbut the crowd was odd. besides that the food was amazing, the drinks exciting, an the staff/management was very eager to make us happy.

excellent experience at brunch. we had a party of 12. the service and atmosphere were great. the dining room is very nicely decorated. we were in the wine cellar room. it was nice that we all had our own room. the food was was perfect and it was well proportioned. i had the 'whole enchilada' , could not finish all the food, brought dinner home with me. all of that for $45 plus tip. it was agreatexperience. i would love to return for dinner ... not today though still stuffed.

four stars!greatfood!. this has to be one of the best dinning experiences anywhere. i haven't had food this good since i was in nyc. they are expensive, but that is to be expected with an establishment located at the ritz-carlton. the portions are not huge, but they aren't small either. a meal here for two with wine or cocktails will easily run you $200+ , but i will still be coming back again soon!

i love fearing's. the restaurant is decorated very exquisitely, even the restrooms are impecably clean! the service was impressive. from the moment we walked in to the moment we left the restaurant we were treated like royalty.

i loved the tortilla soup, pineapple palate cleanser, sea scalops with shredded short ribs, and the dessert (chocolate trio of some sort) was just delicious...the chocolate pies in particular are awesome!

i would definitely recomend this place to anyone looking for agreatdining experience.
