except for one dish (vegetarian) that was too heavily salted, our meals were excellent. the servers were professional and friendly. nothing was rushed. because of construction/renovation work, the entrance into the restaurant is something of an adventure; and a challenge for staff. for the most part, they rose to the challenge. we'll be back.

love dean! love the food. ate there memorial day weekend and the experience was great. the room was beautiful, the service was attentive without being annoying and the food was excellent. our waiter accidentally brought tortilla soup, which i love, but i had ordered the lobster bisque. it was replaced immediately with apologies. lobster bisque worth the short wait. i also had the generous piece of halibut that was perfectly prepared. my husband had the beef tenderloin special and it was also perfectly prepared, flavorful and beautifully presented. we split the banana pudding--now i know why it's a popular choice. (we usually aim for chocolate but it seemed to heavy at that point)
we dressed for dinner and many others did also, but we saw several tables that were dressed nicely casual. we did not feel it was stuffy at all.
for 2 adults, each with a glass of wine, an appetizer a piece, an entree a piece and a shared dessert, it was $162. we didn't think that was bad at all for a dinner there. plenty of place to spend that in dallas, might as well be here.

dallas was our last stop after a month of dining twice daily across the country.  as we were staying at the ritz, we booked in for dinner at fearing's - what a find !
the enthusiasm of the staff to ensure that our dining experience was excellent set the tone for the evening.  wait staff we hovering for any needs but never intrusive.  the menu choices were explained in detail, meals delivered in a very reasonable time and they exceeded expectation - i was adventurous enough to try the antelope which was very, very enjoyable and the experience made all the more rewarding with the chef coming to our table and explaining the cooking methods used.  portion sizes were generous and the quality of entree, main & desert was of the highest standard.
the wine choices were as good as we saw in the us, covering local and a wide range (variety, location and price) of imported wines.
what a great experience !

this restaurant is what a high-end dining experience is meant to be. we came here for thanksgiving and i thought i was going to be disappointed because the menu was pre-fixed, but nope; i was extremely satisfied.

i had their halibut and the preparation of this fish was so delicate and spot on. it was cooked to perfection. it's like those moments when you get something so delicious that you just have to close your eyes and savor the moment while the food plays on your tongue. i would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting this area. if you live in dallas, you're lucky to have such a wonderful spot in your backyard.

based on a recommendation from the chef's mother we visited fearings while in dallas for a graduation. starting in the bar with a spicy cocktail and ending with a sampler of new desserts this place did not disappoint. the selection was diverse and delicious. we enjoyed our seat in the "kitchen" dinning room. the chef made the rounds and visited with the patrons. inventive foods, great service.

my wife and i went there for our 36th anniversary and it was magnificent.  the wait staff was a+ and did a lot of extras.  this is the first restaurant in a long time were every dish was excellent.  she had a pork loin dish and i had the fish.  the chef did amazing things that tantalized the taste buds.  one of my new favorites.  we were so full that we decided to pass on dessert.  so what happened, the waiter brought a complimentary dessert to share that was amazing.  i guess he knew we should not take any short cuts.  thank you fearings for a wonderful dining experience.

good place to people watch but that's about it.
bad quality of food. the steak had to be sent back because it was not medium rare. i mean guys you are a steakhouse practically, you are in texas. how can you get the medium rare on a steak so wrong. the service is overbearing. no i don't want my wine glass filled to the rim. and please stop pestering your guests. wine list is good. but as they say food is king.

people who live life worrying about having crazy great food and service on each birthday need to go to fearing’s. service being out of control perfect is something that’s often hard to find. who wants to worry about being turned & burned on their birthday? fearing’s would love for you to stay as long as your brain tells you to. every time we have ever been to fearing’s, we’ve been blown away by the entire experience. dean fearing is to food like sinatra is to new york city. he is the chef-bomb.

brunch at fearing’s has an app, entree, and dessert deal for less than $40. poor people can afford this if they try. maybe this price doesn’t feel expensive because the ritz-carlton tricks a person’s brain into thinking wealthy thoughts.

$8.00 cup of coffee. this is shocking for fearings to charge for one cup of black coffee at breakfast. this is dallas not new york. i live in the san francisco bay area and even the finest restaurants don't charge that at breakfast

iconic evening (or, how i learned to quit cussing and love urbanspoon). why the place wasn't packed sun. with other only moderately out of shape fifty somethings who wanted an outstanding meal before taking the short stroll to the aacenter was beyond me. it's downhill all the way and if your group plants a car in event parking you can motor it back to retrieve the other car left in valet at the stunning ritz. after informing andrew we needed to eat and run he assured us the kitchen was pretty good which of course was an understatement. together we shared the tuna sushi app with it's excellent pressed roll dense with the finest ahi, the bbq shrimp tacos and though had enjoyed the fried oysters before and ordered them mainly for those new to the table liked those best, again. the. perfect. fried. oyster. the four of us who family styled, or what, in a place like this, i like to call orchestrated a "redneck tasting menu", shared the scallops, salmon, antelope and tenderloin w/ it's cfl which became my first bite. light tempura tender bite of lobster may have only needed a hint of salt. delish. absolute perfection on a plate with the scallops and the salmon but my favorite was the antelope w/ it's green sauced rabbit enchie. like the oyster, beyond what you can ever imagine how good the components might taste like while reading the menu. wow. thankfully didn't catch sight of the uncomfortable saggy bottom black chairs that we suffered on last visit. like to think they got rid of them 'cause i complained about them last time but i couldn't have been the only one visibly not enjoying those chairs (and, of course, they had no idea who i was). nanner puddin' and another bourbon for dessert. nom. then strolled to the aa to be entertained by an american national treasure (no pun intended) and that silly brit that played in the police that i'd seen thrice before in norman and okc. i can die now. back to the valet in the v's stashed car to pick up the valeted ones and decide i needed to run inside before i hit the road so leave the e's, go inside for maybe three minutes also getting change in the bar only to return to valet just before the the e's pull away and is informed by an obviously excited (think: young girls on the sullivan show 50 years ago excited) mrs e that sting just walked through and she spoke to him. so, i just missed the ultimate cap to a stellar evening. twenty feet from stardom likely standing at the bar.
