farriers - the meydan hotel

went there for dinner . little taken aback with theirservicelevels - understaffed .
i must mention the fewservicepeople that are there in the restaurant are very helpful .
we tried the mix grilled and the grilled fish . fish came with a portion of rice , portion size sufficient .
grills - average , not everything was well cooked .
not a place to celebrate special occasions -lesson learnt .

my friends and i visited this place for lunch after our spa at the hotel . they have a buffet lunch as well which is about aed 170 or aed 177 per person . we opted for the a la carte . we got the portobello mushroom burger served with a good portion of fries, sea food linguine and another one of the burgers from the menu . the portions were huge. however i didn’t like the linguine as much and the burger also was just about ok . the bread they served before our food could arrive tasted really good . warm round breads, sesame topped bread with butter and the fries were the only few things i enjoyed . theservicewas good . the ambience also was fine .

the view from the restaurant and ambiance was really good.servicewas also good. we went for lunch to the restaurant and the food was okay. variety at the buffet was not as extensive as other restaurants in dubai. vegetarian food was very limited.

had a dinner with family at farriers. zomato online booking was very efficient , got instant confirmation. the restaurant andservicewas fine but food was not upto the mark. my special comments are for the risotto which needs big time improvement. its quite expensive to what is actually served.

our dining experience was fabulous! we went for a weekend brunch and we had the most amazing dining experience! the place is fantastic and the variety of food was good! theserviceis the staff is beyond great! we enjoyed our time at this place

went for the friday brunch. easy and fast reservation, and when we arrived place was packed however they had our seats ready (although in one corner with hardly any ac)! good spread of food, live pasta, oriental, bbq and grills. cocktails were bit limp, servers though plenty needed to be called over and over again. good spread of desserts, too. biryani was very yummy! kids play area quite far and though they had a halloween celebration, yet were out of pumpkins in an hour from start..that was quite disappointing for my kids!! they mixed up on the bill, although i had entertainer, charged me in full....quite used to this level ofservicenow!! they had a live band but the lady couldn’t sing very well..didn’t find anyone interested in them, too!

amazing!!!! went there for eid brunch and i just can’t explain how good the food was.

i did not try anything that wasn’t absolutely perfectly made and delicious. the view was fabulous and theservicewas very good!

good buffet with lots of choices for arabic food. the plus points - the mixed grills were great and succulent. theservicewas good. i enjoyed the desserts especially the tarts and the umm ali as well as the black forest cake. there are limited vegetarian options in the main course and not as much variety for seafood lovers. the view seated outside overlooks the racecourse and is lovely especially during the winters..

this restaurant is based in the famous hotel the meydan which hosts major events at its racecourse. 
we have visited farriers for dinner as well as breakfast buffet as we were having our staycation in meydan hotel. the dinner buffet was a good variety of dishes which surprisingly included steak in main course and macaroons in dessert. overall the food was good. since we were newly married the staff was so sweet to offer us a complementary cake, we really appreciate the kind gesture. 
the restaurant is situated overlooking the racecourse which is a unique experience.
the breakfast buffet offers whole lot of options with live station for egg, again greatserviceand friendly staff made our visits to farriers more pleasant.

meydan hotel and its restaurants are very special to me as the world cup in the only sporting event that i have not missed in a decade.
the farriers is a place i regularly visit and it's so much like home that i haven't even remembered to review it till now which clearly indicates how close to my heart it is.
the sea bass here is to die for... the best in the city.
must must visit. very warmserviceand entertainer vouchers are accepted too.

late night decision to shoot down to the race track to watch some horse racing. once we were there, we decided to grab some food and chose the buffet as we had a discount voucher.

the place has a great view with the race track on front.servicewas also very friendly. that is pretty much where it ended. the non-alcohol buffet was 270dhs or roughly $75 per person. for that price i expected some great food. we were unfortunately disappointed. the hot food line consisted of around 6 items and then a live cooking station. the salad bar was also very limited. several of the items were pretty good, but i thought overall the selection was limited and the food quality was probably below average in that price range.

while we enjoyed the horses, we did not enjoy this place. should have saved the money and sat on the terrace with a shisha.

i had visited farriers restaurant on 5th aug friday evening for dinner. we were 4 of us. i had made the reservation on 1st aug for the dinner buffet. one of us is a pure vegetarian; so i had inquired about this on the same day before making a reservation if they would have some vegetarian options to offer in the buffet.  i was informed that they will definately have options for a pure vegetarian. i was also informed that they could make a special veg biryani or a black daal on request just in case if there are not many veg options in the buffet. they only had a veg pasta nd bolied potatoes nd a yello dal and white steamed rice in the buffet for a vegetarian. when we actually requested the waiter to make a veg biryani or a black dal; the waiter immediately rejected our request saying that this is all they could offer and they couldnt make something special. on informing him about the confirmation received from the management while making the reservation; he said that he will check with his chef as to what he could make for us. he arranged a veg pulao and a paneer makhani for us. i would say that these 2 were the best dishes that we all ate and liked in comparison to the buffet options. the pasta was cold when i took in my plate. so were the rest of the options like the grilled chicken. this restaurant has lost itsservicestandards as we have been to this restaurant twice in the past for a friday brunch which was a very good experience then.

i went to the meydan hotel for a stable tour and got to enjoy breakfast at the farriers restaurant. they have a good spread with lots of choices. theservicewas excellent
the view is stunning!! if you go early you get to see horses on the field. definitely a must do during the horse racing season 👍👌👌

had a great brunch today. the best part is the ambience the spread and despite a friday the large space and number of food counters ensure the place doesn't feel crowded. brunch is all about slow eating and for that ambience & facilities should be such that it relaxes and indulges you. this is exactly what farriers has in plenty. as a vegetarian there are adequate choices and the beverages are a plenty particularly fresh juices and number of other options.

last but not the least theserviceis excellent and staff is extremely courteous.

stayed at the wonderful  meydan hotel in november. the farriers restaurant overlooks the racecouse nad al sheba.good range of dishes for the buffet. the seafood night on thursdays was the best. lobster,. giant prawns, mussels, squid and scallops and various hot dishes. excellent pudding range. theserviceis formidable, you are really looked after,and couldnt rate the staff higher,especially mohamed kitchilan, chandida and  plus axel who is always smiling. great service
