farriers - the meydan hotel

we had the buffet for 150 and for this price the quality was very nice. many starters with vegetables ,fruits, french cheese, fish chicken lamb pizza. will definitely recommend.

very tasty and nice quality of food. the brunch was amazing but the sun is disturbing till they close the sun screen. the stations has a nice variety of food specially for sea food.

they have an iftar buffet but with an absolutely disastrous reservation system. was booked for an iftar this evening but was cancelled because of an overbooking. i do not quite understand how a top hotel can have such a bad front desk service.

spoiler to my plan for having iftar at #shibarestraunt #meydanhotel begun, when one of the european attendant, after we reached there, informed us that the resturant is closed during the month of ramadan, but along with this bad news, he recommended us to try #farriersrestaurant which is literally next to the same spot. because of time constraints, we decided to give a try and i must say that it wasn’t a bad choice at all.
they have predominantly got #arabic cuisines in their menu and some live cooked noodles, sushi, okra, fish with lemon, desi snacks samosa, pakora, etc.. surprisingly their salad bar had so much variety and delicious stuffs. desserts menu holds turkish delights, ummali, kunafa, few cakes and puddings. thing that i like most about this place was it’s ambience and less crowded surroundings.. all the items were served and presented very nicely and appropriately. staff were polite and friendly although some of them were not able to speak english 🤣 but still they were doing best to assist.
i suggest that these folks must add some international cuisines to make their menu look more attractive. i would rate 7 out of 10 to my overall experience. #ramadan #iftar #myfirstpost #foodphotography

a lovely place. i went for brunch with my family. they offered many activities for kids; play area, face painting, magician, etc. there was also a station for kids that they can walk through by themselves. outdoors barbecue and a band and of course food everywhere.. will definitely repeat...

pros: good view, good interior,good service
cons: very few options for a five star, the arabic food is not upto the mark. tried them 3 times with the same quality

i’m now dining at the restaurant having a mix sea food platter priced 254 aed for that portion you see in the picture.
the quantity compared with the price is not fair; moreover , the food taste is funny


i came here hoping for a nice experience, but sadly i didn’t find it. hope the owner have an overview on this. thanks

the theme of backto90s was very entertaining however food options are extremely limited. food qaulity done was below average and it is a shock that meydan had come to this level. disappointed

90’s theme buffet night on a thursday, restricted choices due to covid but a value for money. array of live counters i.e salad, pasta, fish & chips, japanese teppanyaki, hot dog etc. however he dessert selection could have been better. the outdoor seatings were nice overlooking the meydan race track, lucky to be visiting on one of the evenings watching live race.

their breakfast buffet for hotel guests is exquisite but the thursday ‘90s theme buffet was not upto the mark. cold food and limited options.

i booked farriers for a private function on friday the 21st for 25 people. we had our own private area of the restaurant and had high quality table service. the drinks package they offered us was fantastic. the food was high quality, tasty, and the staff were incredibly attentive to three vegetarians in the group and one who was celiac. this level of attentiveness at a private function really makes a huge difference. they also offered us a very good deal for ‘after-drinks’ at a different venue in the hotel, which i thought was a very nice touch.

overall, it was a very successful night with staff who couldn’t do enough for us. thank you :)
