farriers - the meydan hotel

they have an iftar buffet but with an absolutely disastrous reservation system. was booked for an iftar this evening but was cancelled because of an overbooking. i do not quite understand how a tophotelcan have such a bad front desk service.

excellent!!! had a great time with friends!!! partied at the 90’s brunch, had awesome food and drinks, and se loved it, staff was amazing and thehotelis sooo pretty! absolutely amazing

their breakfast buffet forhotelguests is exquisite but the thursday ‘90s theme buffet was not upto the mark. cold food and limited options.

we stayed at the meydanhotelrecently when in dubai and dined here twice.

primarily, the buffet breakfast was elaborate with continental dominating the fare.

lovely live eggs with toast, cereals in skimmed milk and some lovely refreshing watermelon juice would be a great start to the day.

ambience is just lovely overlooking the racecourse.

my friends and i visited this place for lunch after our spa at thehotel. they have a buffet lunch as well which is about aed 170 or aed 177 per person . we opted for the a la carte . we got the portobello mushroom burger served with a good portion of fries, sea food linguine and another one of the burgers from the menu . the portions were huge. however i didn’t like the linguine as much and the burger also was just about ok . the bread they served before our food could arrive tasted really good . warm round breads, sesame topped bread with butter and the fries were the only few things i enjoyed . the service was good . the ambience also was fine .

tucked away in the fancyhotelthat is meydan, farriers is one of the few options that are offered at the grandest race track in dubai. farriers offers exceptional views outside for you to enjoy during the winter and you could still enjoy the restaurant during the summer, albeit only at night. the restaurants offer a great view of the entire race course and i am sure they offer a fantastic afternoon tea experience.

one of the top luxurious friday brunch we can enjoy here in the meydanhotelwith the spectacular view of horse racing field. the variety of food you can choose from is more varied than anywhere else you can find in dubai. seafood choices are just terrific!

to begin with, thehotelitself is luxury personified, the staff just go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special. 

the dinner buffet is sumptuous, extravagant and delicious. the flavors are so rich and the meats so tender.

the restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. while the inside is good the outdoor is magnificent.

the breakfast buffet was also lavish with so much to chose from. the staff knew the long-term guests' preferences.

it was a definitely a feel-good experience in terms of food and service.

it was a celebration of a kind with some close friends. so been to farriers...located in the beautifully designed meydanhotelright in front of the horse racing course. quite a view!!

buffet is great...with a lot of options from all around the world in soups, salads, appetizers, main course and desserts. they have an impressive live barbecue with a variety of meat and seafood choices...being delivered to you on demand.

the ambience is quite soothing, with lots of smiling staff around guiding you.

it’s a good place to be with friends, family or your loved ones...if you want to be secluded for a while being lost in the world of delicious food :-)

this restaurant is based in the famoushotelthe meydan which hosts major events at its racecourse. 
we have visited farriers for dinner as well as breakfast buffet as we were having our staycation in meydan hotel. the dinner buffet was a good variety of dishes which surprisingly included steak in main course and macaroons in dessert. overall the food was good. since we were newly married the staff was so sweet to offer us a complementary cake, we really appreciate the kind gesture. 
the restaurant is situated overlooking the racecourse which is a unique experience.
the breakfast buffet offers whole lot of options with live station for egg, again great service and friendly staff made our visits to farriers more pleasant.

meydanhoteland its restaurants are very special to me as the world cup in the only sporting event that i have not missed in a decade.
the farriers is a place i regularly visit and it's so much like home that i haven't even remembered to review it till now which clearly indicates how close to my heart it is.
the sea bass here is to die for... the best in the city.
must must visit. very warm service and entertainer vouchers are accepted too.

what we went for: unplanned lunch stop

ambience: set on the ground floor of the meydanhotelthat is best known for hosting the dubai world cup, the restaurant has unparalleled views of the racecourse! the interiors are nice though without much character. the horseshoes stuck on the wall outside and the miniature temporary exhibition of the leaning tower of pisa just outside the restaurant and of course the view of the racecourse would probably stick in my mind for longer!

what we ordered: while none of us had planned for it, we sort of had no option as we ended up at buffet-as it was quite late and our original lunch plans went downhill..

price: brilliant and unexpected!! thanks to the entertainer vouchers!! aed 400 for 8 pax including children!!

verdict: i can't write rave reviews, neither can i dismiss the food or service.. sort of meandered between very average and just average :)!

the arabic grills was great, so was the sticky date dessert. i helped myself to a nice cheese platter and that's my high point.
choice wasn't extensive.

would i return? hmm, to watch a horse race, i think yes..just for the food-perhaps no!

i went to the meydanhotelfor a stable tour and got to enjoy breakfast at the farriers restaurant. they have a good spread with lots of choices. the service was excellent
the view is stunning!! if you go early you get to see horses on the field. definitely a must do during the horse racing season 👍👌👌

family dinner, stunning view of the race course, perfect ambience for a dinner date and food is out of the world. check with thehotelprior to arrival as the theme nights are on. we enjoyed the barbecue nights. try the fresh juices too (they are extra). staff is really friendly and extremely courteous.
