ekamai thai curry

soothes the california soul!. i recently moved here from the bay area and have been cravinggreatthai. i've tried many other places recommended by friends, family, and online, only to be consistently disappointed. then, someone recommended ekamai. i have to admit, we were a little surprised at the size and ambiance of the restaurant. we actually wondered whether we came to the right place, or whether this was the take-out area of a full-service ekamai restaurant. however, after we tasted the food, i wouldn't change a thing! the intimacy of the restaurant, the charm and friendliness of woot, and the authentic thai flavors make you feel like you have just been welcomed into a cherished place only few are cool enough to find. little did i know that this place does amazing business, frequented by those that know and appreciategreatfood. we'll be back for our regular thai fix!

this place has suchgreatfresh flavors, every sip or chopstick full is a melody ofgreattaste. everyday has a slighty different menu and they have free delivery!greatfriendly people as well.

great flavors!. everything i've tried here has been excellent. plus they serve the most addictive thai iced tea in town. bummer is it's almost 3 bucks for a small glass. service is fast and extremely friendly. prices are fair. it's agreatlittle place!

great food,greatprice,greatowner. we love ekamai. we come to eat here about once a week and crave it every single day. woot, the owner, is absolutely wonderful and part of the reason we go so often. the food is amazing. we've wanted to try more of the curries and daily specials he offers, but are so enamored with the mussaman and yellow curry, the thai iced tea, and the sweet sticky rice with mango that it's all we ever order. and we're perfectly happy with it. a definite place to visit if in and around downtown salt lake city.

fast and fresh. it's a small take-out place, with a limited assortment. but it is definitely worth a visit, especially if you're in the area. the curries and stir-fries are being made fresh all day.greatoption to avoid fast-food, as you will be in and out as fast as a drive-thru. grab a menu, and come back often to take advantage of each day's special.
