i get it, i get it, this place is trying to be hip. alright, it is hip--however the food isn't. for the price, the portions are too small and for being "vegan/vegetarian' friendly that equals one dish of the day that is. don't like it? welp, you are out of luck. i can only justifying eating at this place after twilight concerts. do your self a favor, drive up to sawadee instead, man.

this tiny cafe serves up a delicious assortment of thai food favorites. their menu changes daily so make sure and check out their website or if you're in the area you can check the chalkboard by the street to see what they are offering that particular day

fantastic service (vegan options). woot, the owner of ekamai, is such a genuinely friendly, helpful guy. he informed me on the vegan options and any other questions i had. he is very dedicated to making sure that every person who walks into his restaurant is happy with their meal and enjoys their visit.

the food is fantastic! the options are few, but completely satisfactory and very fresh. the atmosphere is clean, personable and sitting on the sidewalk on a warm day is most enjoyable.

my family and i are now loyal customers and will enjoy seeing woot's business thrive.

don’t be shy about stopping in here, and remember the next time you are at the gateway on a sunny afternoon, or perhaps you arrive downtown a few hours early for a jazz game, or even if you are coming saturday morning for farmer’s market, be sure to visit 300 south just north of pioneer park. there are many treasures to be found here and ekamai is one of them!

worst thai food in salt lake. i was very disappointed in the food. everything was bland and not authentic. there was very limited selection. the portions were tiny, after spending $11 here i had to go somewhere else to get enough food to be satisfied. i will not go back.

super tiny space so you may want to consider takeout if you haven't ever been here. different menu (very limited menu items) on different days so definitely call if you're craving something specific. the portions were much smaller than expected but it was also cheaper than the average thai prices. overall, b+.

quaint little cafe. curry is an amazing dish. it is hard to resist the runny liquid spilling over freshly steamed rice. that is why i got to ekamai! this cute store right by the conspicuous bruges is an amazing joint. i love the curry which is creamy and delicious. you can see in the small kitchen a cute little pot steaming the irresistible indulgence. the staff is very nice and professional. i love you ekamai!

so yummy, love everything. this is just about the best surprise ever! i am a seattle transplant and had been looking for a great/cost effective place to satisfy my curry cravings. there is nothing but wonderful choices here. this is not the place to take a big group of people...they have maybe a handful of seats along the wall.

over priced and under fed. the menu should state that a one item is equal to panda express kids meal at twice the price. curry was good but price to portion is lacking. i left hungry.

in a town that has a thai place on every corner, ekamai thai curry might be the best lunch place around! you just trot up to the counter and they give you food. this is what fast food should look like.

great quality, high cost. i ordered a dish that consisted of brown rice (which actually looked purple, for some reason), vegetables, and a peanut sauce. although the food was all quite delicious, it was a somewhat smaller portion than i had expected (after paying $6). also, i was not exactly a fan of the fluid/relatively unstructured menu, but that is probably just a preference... overall, i enjoyed my visit, but probably won't be heading back.
