ekamai thai curry

in a town that has a thai place on every corner, ekamai thai curry might be the best lunch place around! you just trot up to the counter and they give you food. this is whatfastfood should look like.

delicious, comforting. as someone who works nearby, i go weekly. cheap yet as delicious as a sit-down restaurant, and no other restaurant i know has "brown rice" (actually at least partially black rice) as an option- delicious and less of a guilty eat. faster thanfastfood, yet wonderfully healthy. their curries aren't the hottest, yet they do have chili dishes on some days that are damn hot, and there is always pad pra ram, almost-raw veggies with thick peanut sauce. very nice service, and a frequency card for free curry. their tea and coffee is on the sickeningly sweet side- their only downfall.

they have different foods made every day, which makes forfastfresh thai. generally speaking i think thai food is overrated. padthai usually has too much fish sauce in it and smells like a fart. but what i do like of thai food is their curry. the peanut sauce is like eating liquid peanut butter, so i don't like that either, oh and glass noodles freak me out. but lets get back to curry. from the pictures i took i have to assume we got the pinneapple chicken curry, and the pad prik king, both of which were delicious. we got the brown rice and it comes with an egg roll for like 8 bucks. again, this place is really good and the fact that its not sit down and you don't have to pay a tip i always appreciate. so if you are ever by pioneer park downtown stop by. for dessert we got one of my absolute favorite things ever. sticky mango rice! when the mango is ripe and good

great flavors!. everything i've tried here has been excellent. plus they serve the most addictive thai iced tea in town. bummer is it's almost 3 bucks for a small glass. service isfastand extremely friendly. prices are fair. it's a great little place!

great. superfastand always good lunch. owner is awesome, seems like he is always there, which is always a good sign of any restaurant.

just what i was looking for.... i love the location, it means that i can get my curry fix after the farmers market or any other festivals held at pioneer park. perfect place to watch the bustle of downtown on a saturday. the service is very pleasant and welcoming. they arefastand the portions are a perfect size. i have had the red and yellow curry (with brown rice) as well as the fresh veggies with peanut sauce and they were all wonderful; i could not pick a favorite if i tried! the thai iced tea is also very good, its leaves you not needing a dessert!

fast and fresh. it's a small take-out place, with a limited assortment. but it is definitely worth a visit, especially if you're in the area. the curries and stir-fries are being made fresh all day. great option to avoid fast-food, as you will be in and out asfastas a drive-thru. grab a menu, and come back often to take advantage of each day's special.
