soothes the california soul!. i recently moved here from the bay area and have been craving great thai. i've tried many other places recommended by friends, family, and online, only to be consistently disappointed. then, someone recommended ekamai. i have to admit, we were a little surprised at the size and ambiance of the restaurant. we actually wondered whether we came to the right place, or whether this was the take-out area of a full-serviceekamairestaurant. however, after we tasted the food, i wouldn't change a thing! the intimacy of the restaurant, the charm and friendliness of woot, and the authentic thai flavors make you feel like you have just been welcomed into a cherished place only few are cool enough to find. little did i know that this place does amazing business, frequented by those that know and appreciate great food. we'll be back for our regular thai fix!

don't get delivery!. i ordered delivery fromekamaitonight and had the beef pad seiw. there were five small pieces of meat mixed with a ton of bland noodles. i had to order 3 egg rolls to get over the 12 dollar minimum, and they weren't egg rolls, they were spring rolls. worst 16 dollars spent on delivery i've ever had.

amazing!. i went intoekamaiwith a friend in june of 2010, and since then i've been going back consistently. i absolutely love all the curries, the service is friendly and fast, and being able to sit outside to people watch while i enjoy my food is wonderful. i definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

curry from heaven!. i discoveredekamaithai curry yesterday evening, and i was incredibly impressed. i've eaten at dozens of thai restaurants, andekamaihad by far the best thai curry i've ever tasted. mussamun curry beef, yellow curry chicken and pad ginger chicken were all fantastic, and the brown rice was especially tasty. highly recommended!

highly recommend!!!!. when i first stepped into ekamai, i did not know what to expect or try. thanks to the wonderful owner, woot pongsawan, he had me sample the best curry i had ever tasted. i loved all the currys, due to the fact that each and every one of them had a very unique and distinct taste. i was not so much of a curry fan, butekamaihas definitely got me sold. next time you are craving some delicious food, make sureekamaiis on your mind. it's quick, easy, and cheap. just the way i like it!
