i was tagging along on my wife's work trip and i needed a break from my self-imposed bratwurst diet. we don't get goodthaicuisine in our neighborhood and ee-sane's reviews convinced us to take advantage.

we avoided the standard padthaifare. instead, we opted for what ee-sane's menu short-hands as "larb," which i think is properly called larb gai. larb gai is a meat salad (in our case, ground pork) that is flavored with shallots, limes, mint and chilis. interest is added by introducing toasted rice that is ground into a course powder, which provides a nice texture. we particularly like southeast asian food because so much of it mixes rustic meat flavors with refreshing, crunchy vegetables, and this dish (and ee-sane's execution) uses that contrasting bright/rustic to great effect.

we typically share entrees, particularly at asian restaurants, and the portion sizes were adequate for two. we ate for less than $30, having ordered more than our fair share (but skipping alcohol). i'm dinging the place slightly because it lacked ac and i'm from the south where we take that sort of thing for granted.

awesome place forthaifood. they have spice level 1 to 10, 10 being the hottest and most spicy. i have eaten level 10 fried rice with tears in my eyes and a runny nose. i asked the waiter, there was one a customer who did a level 100.

had padthaiand the bf ordered some sort of stir fry dish. he immediately ordered crab ragoon and i ordered the spring rolls yay to the c.r. the spring rolls were rolled really poorly made them hard to eat. i suggested we split an entree because when had two appetizers but him being a big eater didn't want to share we ordered two. the padthaiwas good not the best i've ever had(tommy'sthaiin denver) but pretty good. his stir fry was pretty good too we had left overs for two days! portions are huge!!!!!

fantasiticthaifood is worth the wait. bestthaifood in milwaukee, at reasonable prices. love their pad thai, green curry, and fresh spring rolls. on their spiciness scale (1 to 10), a 5 is quite spicy but still enjoyable. we ate there april 11, and i think they did hire an additional waitress- the service was definitely faster than usual (still not what anyone would call fast). for food this good, i don't mind waiting a little bit. someone commented that the restaurant looks messy. i've been there many times and wouldn't agree. i would say, it's clear their focus is on the food and ambiance takes a backseat, but i'm ok with that.

bestthaifood in town. absolutely loved every dish i've tried. meat is always tender, vegetables are crisp, and dishes are never greasy. i love the papaya salad with fish sauce and shrimp paste! if you want americanized thai, don't go here.

hit and miss. while dining at ee-sane i ordered some of the worst volcano chicken ever! the dish had way too much salt and the flavors were just off. it seemed as if the chef was trying a desperate attempt at preparingthaicuisine, but just couldn't hit the mark. in all fairness though, on one occassion i had a wonderful green curry.

best pad thai!. all around goodthaifood. i would agree the heat scale is a little off. but after reading the reviews i must be a wimp - i get a #3 and that (to me) is perfect.

first timer yesterday. i ate at ee sanethaicuisine for the first time last night and really enjoyed the food. i tried the yellow curry with chicken and left very satisfied. it took a while for the food to arrive at the table, and our drinks (sodas) came after the meal had already been at the table. there were only two servers working which made it hard for them to get everything done, but all in all the food was great!

best padthaiin town. hands down the best padthaiin town! the only thing that kind of bugs me about ee sane is that they're inconsistent with the spiciness levels. i normally get a level 7 and there have been a few times where it's felt like a level 2 but other times where it's been off the chart.
