fresh makes a difference. i love going to bread bar and getting a soup and sandwich. the sandwiches are delicious when toasted and there is always a new soup of the day to try! i love how they take advantage of what's in season to make the menu change up.you can taste the freshness and it makes a difference. the best part? they bake their own bread.

i love the idea of offering local fresh ingredients, but please at least update your menu accordingly! at this point you can say we were all pretty peeved!

brie burger was excellent, but the fries were far too over seasoned...couldn't get through many. marg pizza was fresh and tasty, but was nothing to write home about. brownie was amazing, best part of the meal.

o.k. - some good, some bad. the place is cool and the concept is different from most places in hamilton. i have had good food and other times it was mediocre and/or poor. i think it's more of a funky place to hang out than to enjoy a good meal. i personally think it's overpriced for what you get and the service isn't great either. i will probably go back just because hamilton doesn't really have anywhere else to go like this.

mediocre food and service.. i thought the concept of this place was great so i decided to check it out. from the get go, the service was not all that welcoming. the server seemed more concerned about socializing with friends who were sitting toward the back than providing guests with a good service experience.

i ordered one of their more popular pizzas. the mark of a truly well made pizza is the stability in the crust. it should not have been completely soggy in the middle! moreover, the crust was a bit gummy and seemingly undercooked. also, i found the flavour to be majorly lacking. for example, one of the toppings was a sort of sauteed/candied sage? the leaves, while crisp, had absolutely no flavour -just tasted like oil. at $15 for a personal sized pizza, i was not impressed.

the server took forever to quality check. i was already halfway through the pizza and by that point was more than ready for the bill. i pointed out that i found the pizza to be undercooked in places. the server seemed pretty indifferent.

last, there is an awkward curtain blocking the doorway. isn't that a hazard? makes no functional sense.

i will not return nor will i recommend this place to colleagues.

this place is great and i go often with my family. the pizza is fresh and flavorful, the spiked milkshakes are awesome, it is very kid-friendly and the design is comfortable and modern. i recently had this amazing peach lemonade cocktail made with whiskey, peach puree and maple syrup (i think..) and i've been craving it since. they also serve excellent coffee. i find some of the staff a little pretentious (um, you guys remember this is hamilton, right?) otherwise, i strongly recommend this place!

in my opinion, the best lunch around. 9$ for amazing soup and sandwich. this place always seems to be busy, but it's worth waiting for a table!

not impressed. went there and ordered pizza. it was sooo greasy and the middle so soggy, can't hold up to eat or cut with a knife and fork to eat. not only that, but it was almost completely burnt (black) underneath and parts of the crust on top was burnt. it tasted burnt. the waitress tried to say all the pizzas turns out like that...pizzas are't suppose to be burnt to the point of black...i wouldn't spend that money on burnt pizzas

earth to crazy people - this place is amazing!. i'm shocked by the negative reviews. this place is my go-to restaurant at least once a week! sometimes more. i've never been disappointed by a meal, and i've tried almost everything. the pizza crust is light and fresh, and the topping combos are to die for. mmmmm fennel sausage!
not only are the dinner options delish, the breakfast menu is petite yet perfect. sure, there aren't that many options, but when each item is that good, why do you need 20 things to choose from? i could eat the porridge every single day!
if you haven't tried it yet, you must!

craving it.. i`ve moved away and miss it so much, the food and the atmosphere.
the pizza is to die for, the drink selection is fantastic and the desserts are melt in your mouth, who cares about being on a diet kinda feeling. you must splurge when you go here.

blah. i live about a 2 minute walk from this place and was happy to see a promising pizza place open on locke. it seems this promise remains unfulfilled and after four or five visits, i see no reason to go back.

i've tried the pizza a couple of times and it's truly disappointing: the crust is soggy and wet, droopy and mushy in the middle, unable to bear the weight of the toppings.

another time i ordered the chicken wings. big hairy deal, they're chicken wings and if you're going to offer them at a place like this you can do a bit better than dunking them in a bland korean-whatever sauce. might as well walk a block down the road and go to ray's boat house for better wings at a better price.

breakfast was decent enough the first time, although if you're not into porridge or sweet things, maybe i could use more options than just bacon and eggs. but the second time, the beans that came along with it were undercooked, harder than al dente, and the runny bean-water broth they had simmered in had been left to pool up in the centre of my plate - very unnappetizing. the home fries, which were fair enough the first time, were now just a few undercooked blobs of lazily seasoned spuds of varying sizes. and let me emphasize "just a few".

another thing, i guess it's hilarious that the bacon + eggs special is called the "a.b.o.e.". of course, you gotta ask what this means, which i did, only to be told by a visibly embarrassed server that it meant "anything but over easy". what a side-splitter. har har. i actually like my eggs over easy.

what i don't like are pretentious signs telling me that david suzuki doesn't like plastic water bottles, i came for a meal not a lifestyle.

please not a new pizza place opened down the road, across from the west town. from my one visit, it's much better pizza.

don't bother with the pizza. it's a nice place, and i'm sure their slogan "good ingredients matter" is nice and all, but "how you cook pizza also matters" would be nice for them to learn.

got the farmer's pizza, the crust in the centre of it was thin, greasy, and took well over five minutes to cool down enough to eat.. and even then i burnt my mouth on it. basically all these "good ingredients" settled in one spot in the centre, creating a hot fondue of tomato sauce, goat cheese, toppings, and grease. sure, it tasted good, but thanks to the burns that's the last thing i'll taste for the next few days.

basically after i was done, what remained was huge bare crusts (2-3 inches of it).

if you like pizza crusts and greasy fondue that you'll need to eat with a knife and fork, this is the pizza for you. if not, best you stick with the stuff they do well (pretty much everything else)

do not waste your time or money.. we tried to like earth to table. in total we visited 4 times and every time we were disappointed. everything we ordered was mediocre at best. the pastries and bread are poorly prepared. the coffee is always watery. the entrees are never consistent, there seems to be no standard of service at all. they mainly serve traditional food, but nothing is done well. please just monitor your cooks, making a consistent, delicious pizza should not be hard and please train people how to prepare coffee and other drinks -- it's as much an art as food prep -- not that anything is an art at earth to table.

disappointing pizza. my boyfriend and i tried the restaurant for dinner. the service was excellent, no complaints there. unfortunately the pizza was not, which should have been great seeing as it comprises half of the menu. it was so greasy, i had to use a knife and fork to eat it (could not pick it up). the crust in the middle was too thin (non-existent) and weighed down by way too much cheese. may return to try their baked goods, but never to dine and especially not their pizza. if you go, ask them to go easy on the cheese. that might help.

breakfast & pizza. pizza: tried out for the first time & was not impressed, ordered the maguerita & it was greasy and overload with sauce & soft in the center, not a good one!
breakfast: we tried the caramel french toast on our first visit & it was delicious! went back 2 weeks later ordered the same, but was told the kitchen is out of caramel sauce & was in the proccess of making it, it would take 10 min. to have it ready ( this is at 9:00 am) so we opt for the sirup instead of waiting 10 min. for the caramel sauce! the toast were awfully dried this time even with xtra sirup! we ended up leaving 90% of the toast on our plats untouched! the waitress was kind enought to take off 50% of the price but we went there for breakfast & leaving with an empty stomach! don't think we'll head back there again :(
