lovely place!. dub's is a hidden gem on river street! both my husband and i loved the atmosphere and more importantly, the food! dub's was the first place we ate upon coming into town this past sunday and our waitress was so helpful in providing suggestions of where we should eat and places to see during the rest of our visit. our favorite of her suggestions was zunzi's! i can't disagree more with the reviews below about the service.

if you find yourself at dub's, try the tacos! my husband absolutely died for the burger with their housebeercheese. can't wait to come back to savannah and eat at dub's! oh, the wings were amazing to! perfectly cooked. i really regret not trying the cupcake...

biggest surprise in savannah? in many respects, it might been dub's pub, also called dubs, a public house. it was near where we were staying, easy to access via stairs and an alleyway. they are advertised on urban spoon as a gastropub, though it was hard to tell when we went. they were down to only tacos when i arrived. theirbeerselections are good, however, and they sellbeerflights. a flight is 5 different selections of beer, 4 ounces each, all for a reasonable price. i had never had tybee blonde before, and sandwiching that between a bells and a allagash wasn't so bad at all.

great food! must try the jalapeñobeercheese and pretzels! one of my fav foods in savannah. has a great laid back atmosphere. you're on river street but you aren't in all the craziness.
service is kinda sporadic. servers are always nice though!
edit my husband and i have been sitting waiting for the check for well over 15 minutes. my husband finally peaked into the bar and saw our waitress and the bartender leaning over the bar talking and laughing. then we heard someone scream and it was our waitress continuing to flirt with the bartender in the next to us. it's a shame. this place has amazing food but the service is so off. we ended up waiting for a full 15 minutes for her to come back. all i can say is i hope bartender jordan gets his girl.

late, bad, and expensive. terrible... i ordered four take out dinners and had abeerwhile i was waiting. waited almost one hour for the food (guess they thought i would order more beers). kept asking why it was taking so long as it wasn't really that busy. after 45 minutes i finally grabbed the manager and started a screaming match with that idiot. i had already paid for the bill otherwise i would have left long ago. food finally came and i just grabbed it and left. when i got back to the hotel i discovered they totally messed up the order. we ate it, but it was really bad. horrible experience. stay away from that place

decent forbeerand chicken fingers. we dropped by on a sunday afternoon for somebeerand a snack. buckets ofbeerare priced as you would expect for a river street location. we split an order of chicken fingers and fries. the chicken fingers were good enough, but i would have probably cooked them a tad bit longer for my taste. we did like their hand-cut fries.

the atmosphere is casual and relaxing. our waitress was prompt and attentive. it was not that loud even with tvs playing sports. all the other patrons seemed to be enjoying their meals and drinks. dubs is on the far end of river street so might not be noticed by many tourists.

i'm a huge believer in the "three strikes and you're out rule", which is why i have only been here that many times. our first encounter was a party of 4 for a uga game. the restaurant was almost full, but didn't seem busy- probably because the entire wait staff hides in the kitchen or converses with friends instead of tending the tables. the food here is good, however for the small menu i would have thought it would be more consistent (i've had the tacos each time i've been and the amount of meat, shrimp, etc has varied. our second trip was for another sporting event when we had a party of 8. the service was slow yet again, but the kicker was the tab at the end. our waiter/tress was handing out the individual tabs and no one was recognizing anything- they had desserts on the bill that no one had ordered, drinks that were never served, etc... on our third and final trip, we had a party of 4. as we sat down, the waitress asked if she could take our drink order. i ordered a draftbeerand she simply walked away without taking anyone else's drink order. she came back with mybeerand left once again. it took another waitress coming over as she could see our confusion. when she confronted our original waitress, she stated that we were taking "forever" to give our drink order...wow, she didn't even stick around 20 seconds to listen to it. on our fourth trip- oh wait, there hasn't been and will never be a fourth.

dubs - great food on river street. my family and i went to dubs for dinner on a saturday night. the food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed! the jalapeñobeercheese with pretzels was the perfect appetizer, and our party of eight enjoyed a variety of items off the menu. everything was fresh and arrived at our table within a few minutes off each other. the value and quality of the food is better than most on river street and i was truly impressed. my only complaint was that the live band was a little loud, but we were able to sit towards the back of the restaurant and the music was pleasant. i would definitely recommend dubs for a night out downtown!

disappointed to say the least. went to dubs on june 28 with some friends in town for the ymca gymnastics. i have to say that i was quite disappointed with both the service and the food. we had a party of 8 so a variety of items were ordered. first, the service was great at first but then the waitress seemed to forget about us. i was drinkingbeerand was only ever able to order one. i actually had to go to the bar to order my second. you'd think that our waitress would have realized that we were in a good mood and offered to order us more drinks.

my food, shrimp tacos, came out first with my neice's food, shrimp and grits. my food was simply ok. nothing special. her shrimp and grits were simply awful. the waitress said they were unique and that they were. however, they had absolutely no flavor. i've tried many varieties of shrimp and grits and these weren't even tolerable. the rest of our food took approximately 30 min. to come from the kitchen. i had finished my food for at least 15 min before the last entree emerged from the kitchen. was there any thought of an apology or any acknowledgment of the delay or reason... no. as we polled the rest of our group about their meals we were met with unanimous "it was ok" or "pretty bad" responses. we dropped over $150 at dubs and it was an experience not worth $20.

for the money i would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. while the menu is imaginative, the service and food quality is simply not up to par for the price.

disappointed.
