dos taquitos

no longer awesome. this place used to begreat- if you'll notice, most of the glowing reviews are from 2+ years ago, while most of the negative reviews are from within the last year. there is a reason for that. the portions have diminished significantly while the price has either stayed the same or (in some cases) increased. go elsewhere.

cool atmosphere, different salsa (pickled),greatcheese dip. we split an entree but the portions were smaller than you see at other mexican places (i.e. the quesadilla does not fill your entire plate). overall good experience but food needed to be better for us to choose it over a cheaper alternative.

regarding the new location: gave it a try to see if they fixed things during the move to the new location. to me, it's actually worse. service is excellent, food and drinks are terrible. the bartender prepared them quite well, but the recipe wasn't good. this restaurant is a waste of your money.

original location: used to be good, but vegetarians be careful. for vegetarians, their dinner menu is more accommodating than the limited lunch menu. be warned that they use chicken stock liberally.
good service, good drinks, and agreatatmosphere.

update: i've not been in over two years but decided to go back because i friend wanted to go. mistake. service, portion size and quality were terrible. i think they either only focus on the new location or have simply given up trying. such a shame- it was a unique raleigh restaurant!

one word...incredible.greatfood, fun atmosphere. not your typical mexican restaurant.

some of the best mexican food i've had in a while. the atmosphere is incredible. highly recommeded.

a restaurant with some character in n. raleigh!. surprising, while situated in one of the ugliest strip shopping centers in raleigh, dos taquitos is a really cool joint. step inside and you'll appreciate the latino sanford & son decorating style. you won't find another place like it. since north raleigh is chain restaurant hell -- this place is a nice change.

food is yummy. drinks aregreat(especially the mojitos). i usually order from the specials on the back of the menu. every once in awhile, i've ended up with something i don't love. so, for the less adventurous, i'd suggest sticking to the regular menu.

definitely check it out.

dine almost weekly. our favorite mexican restaurant. first impressions of the decor can make you pause, but it's actually a huge part of the dining experience and creates a relaxing, cozy atmosphere - you realize it's an almost perfect atmosphere forgreatcasual food with your best friends. the food is consistently excellent - favorites are chimichanga (steak or chicken), steak tacos and the fish tacos.
