doc delocatessen sits next to what used to be carlton espresso. the place is perfect for lygon street, with plenty of italian foods, drinks and of course coffee. the coffee is decent, though obviously very espresso focused. food is on the expensive and small portion side. i've never thought it's really worth the price here in terms of quality,serviceor atmosphere to dine. seriously, the waiters are not very professional or good at what they do so it's lucky that the chefs & baristas know how to do what they do well. what i do like here is to have a glass of wine or campari / aperol spritz and people watch with friends. you can also pickup lots of italian deli goods to take home or give as gifts. the deli looks quite nice.
