we drove from cocoa. it was good, not great. they were out of the rock shrimp everyone raved about. clam chowder, fried oysters, grilled and fried shrinp were all good. broiled fish just ok. sides were ok. i was disappointed in the cheese grits.
good place toeatbut maybe not worth a long drive.

this restaurant discriminates against veterans with disabilities that prevents them from wearing masks. we were told that we were not aloud in the restaurant. i am a veteran that suffers from ptsd and my wife was smothered as a child and we can’t not wear them. they refused us service because we can not put a mask on while we walk to a table that is 10 feet from the door. we have ate at this restaurant multiple times with no issue in the past. i don’t recommend anyone with disabilities or veteranseathere as they treat us as we are second rate citizens

we had the pleasure of lunch at dixie crossroads las summer after fishing the famous mosquito lagoon. the rock shrimp are unbelievable, and i had never even heard of them before. this was a step back in time to when small businesses brought great offerings and service. now, how do i get from texas all the way back to florida so i caneatthere again...

this place use to be a great place for our company yearly get together and birthday parties, we would always bring guests here of at least 10-20 people. they had all you caneatsnow crab, shrimp, fish, and other things for approximately $50.00 everyone in our party would order the all you can eat, which means we would drop at least $500.00-$1,000.00 in one setting plus tax and tip. for some odd reason the owner took it off the menu and said the reason was that they were losing money on the deal, i find that very hard to believe since the average person can onlyeat3lbs. of food max in one setting. just raise the price but to take it off the menu is unexplainable, after waiting a hour to be seated today our party of 15 was told that they no longer offer the all you can eat. they have now lost our business until the owner gets smart enough to bring back what everyone i know used to come for. i hate when a great restaurant tries to get greedy and changes what was working for years, price changing doesn't bother me but menu changes do to greed does bother me.

a regular stop for us. whenever we are in the area, we try toeatat dixie crossroads and we have not been disappointed. this time was no exception. we came in for lunch around 11:30am on a thursday and were quickly seated and a server was immediately available. at dinner or on weekends, there is often a wait.
while we munched on the free corn fritters, which are great, we reviewed the menu and ordered. they had royal red shrimp as a special, so i had them breaded in a basket with the soup of the day, cajun shrimp. the soup was much like a gumbo and very good. the shrimp were wonderful. my wife had the chicken breast dinner and found it perfectly cooked and juicy. the service was great, as usual. we will be back.

wonderful - no. i just think the place is on the plus side of good; not great and certainly not excellent. the shrimp were good, that said, i would never drive that long distance anymore; but after a number of years on brevard county, decided that we really should try it. i like to go out toeatand try different variations on food that i don't cook at home. but, as far as what i'd choose from their menu -- i can cook better at home. it's a shame - but i think the quality of a lot of restaurants are just declining. not much is really cooked from scratch anymore; and that phrase is a joke; "made from scratch"; c'mon, it's likely out of a box, or can, or frozen and heated.

bummer!. this is my third, and probably final time toeathere. we had an early dinner, or late lunch here last week. the wait staff seemed 3 stooges like. dropping stuff off of trays, running into each other, forgetting what to do, to who, and when. the whole place was desolate, which i thought would be a good thing, i remember going there years ago, when you had to wait to get in the door.

i realize that it has been years, but how does all you caneatshrimp,, go from 9.00 to 50.00 especially in hard times for all? i had the lobster, yikes! they forgot to bring one of the sides, and we never even bothered to tell them. the food is edible, but just. when one goes to a restaurant of this long of a standing, you expect the best, not mediocre!

went an hour out of our way during our vacation for the food and all i can say is amazing!! it is well worth the trip. the staff is friendly and really made it feel like home. our waitress rosa marie was amazing and took extra care of us. she is probably the best waitress we have ever had at any restaurant. we just had to get our picture taken with her. the portions are huge and it is well worth the price you pay. in fact, the seafood by us in massachusetts cost more, give you less, and the quality is not as good for the money you pay. i know a couple years ago we had the royal red shrimp and i have never had a shrimp like this any where. we are going to be sure to make another stop by next time we are in florida. i highly recommend anyone toeathere!! we also left with a christmas ornament of a rock shrimp that we cannot wait to put on our tree!!!! thanks clay!

i loved it..then i didn't.. i used to go to the one in orlando when it still existed. i took the journey to titusville to try that one with my boyfriend. i was sooo excited because i loved their shrimp cocktail. we enjoyed hush puppies while we waited for our food. once my shrimp got there i naturally dug in only to be horrified:the shrimp was not cleaned. i found it sooo disgusting. who doesn't clean shrimp? why would you give customers shrimp excrements?!?!?!!? i didn'teatshrimp for at least three months after that and i highly doubt i'd ever go back there again.
