if you haven't been by the delta cafe in a while come on down. a recent refresh of the interior and outdoor seating has created a lovely oasis from your cares. samegreatsouthern comfort food backed up with a creative drink menu. its deliciousness all around.

brisket hash and bloody mary. bloody mary was by the best i've ever had [spicy, lots of veggies, with agreatpepper kick to it - but for the record i don't drink these often]. the brisket hash was good. my only 'complaint' was that the menu said smoked brisket. however the brisket did not taste as though it was smoked. def. had that more slow cooker flavor and texture to it. don't get me wrong, it was very tender, but didn't have that smoked bbq flavor to it. i am def. going back for both brunch and dinner/lunch items as i've heardgreatthings and i was impressed with what we had.

first timer. lets just skip past the delicious drinks we ordered (the alamo and melissy's sidecar). we started out with pups on a pond (hushpuppies on chicken gravy). we got worried that we wouldnt be able to order dinner since this was a huge portion. no worries, we did it! delicious chicken gravy, kinda smokey and the hushpuppies were crisp on outside and tender insidegreatspice! my wife ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese as the sides. i ordered the fried catfish with biscuits and tater tot casserole as my sides. i had to eat the fish, it wouldnt reheat and we eyed dessert on the way in. the fish was supper tender with agreatremoulade. very good complement. even my wife enjoyed the fish...which she does not eat very often. both our meals were delicious, we took remainder home so we could enjoy peach pie and milky way cake. ohh man im so glad i used this day as a cheat. i was overwhelmed with all the flavors and how well everything complimented each other. if this is southern cooking i will be eating it often! perhaps if my mom were from southern finland i might have enjoyed the same? lol thank goodness for good ol southern soul food! next time i order the greens! maybe next time i will wait to take a picture before diving in...maybe.

this woodstock neighborhood restaurant serves upgreattraditional cajun food and has some awesome, unique drinks to offer. i highly recommend the pups in a pond as a starter p.s. the decor is arts and crafts on crack, love it!

hummm, guess not. i loved the delta, its close to home andgreatfood. however, after sitting for 15 min having servers ignore me as i tried to flag them down really put a damper on things. it didn't help to see people coming in after me and my company getting helped right away. i dont know what happened but i won't be back. and i'm gonna miss the rose infused vodka.

we went to delta for national fried chicken day on july 6th. yum!greatchicken, delicious slaw, tastey biscuits and gravy,greatbeer and great, friendly service. we'll be back. i love the funky interior and art.

ooh' boy. this place has the best cajun food i've eaten in the portland area and probable on the west side of the state. we had a large rather tasty appetizer of fried oysters. i had somegreatcrawfish etoufee' with my chosen side of cauliflower casserole, while my wife dined on a succulent ribeye smothered in onions and mushrooms with her two chosen sides of greens and mac-n-cheese. the portions are large (not requiring any appetizer) and the food is spiced according to your choosing. the sides are scrumptious, but you may have to take them home. the prices seem high until you dig into the pallet-pleasing belly-filling portions. parking is available in back, but the lot is small so you may end up parking on the street. if you like cajun and sothern soul you'll be happy here.
