good indian restaurants are surprisingly hard to find but i’m glad i found this one.
the staff are attentive but not obtrusive and the service overall was always faultless.
thefoodwas soooo good. i normally steer clear of butter chicken but thought this one sounded worth a shot and i’m glad i gave it a chance because it was the best i’ve ever had by a very very long way. the way they grill the chicken first gives it a really nice charred, smoky flavour that you don’t usually get.
the korma was really good, the lamb was tender and there was not fatty or chewy bits, just nice, soft meat but it was a little on the mild side of mild. i was hoping for a little more kick but it was by no means bad.
the chicken entree was one of the most delicious things i’ve ever eaten too.
the naan was light and fluffy and soft and a decent size too.
only downside i would say is that while they are byo, they charge $8 per person corkage which does seem a little steep. i’m happy to pay for corkage and like to bring my own wine because i get a better choice of wines and it’s not about saving money but this does seem a little excessive.
