decent, but nothing more than that.
it was my second time at cutler & co and it was a very underwhelming experience. we were there with a big table, having the sunday lunch option (75 per head, plus 3 matching wines at 50).
where do i begin?
appetizers - the meager single bite portions served were average at best, there was nothing of note in them at all.
once we were done with appetizers, everyone received a massive, thick slice of mediocre bread, which dare i say was the only reason why the guests didn't walk out hungry.
next came the entree - 2 tiny raw slices of kingfish (think one normal sashimi slice, sliced in half) with a slightly tangy dressing , 2 mussels each with some aioli, and beetroot (about 3 bulbs, for a table of 15 people) on top of a bland almond concoction.
then came the main. i had the fish, while my partner had pasta. both were underwhelming. my fish was overcooked, her pasta was bland and unseasoned(the handmade pasta itself was cooked perfectly though, to be fair).
what was also very evident throughout the main course, were irregular portion sizes as people were receiving servings differing by about 20%, be it fish, pasta or lamb (not to mention the cut - some got a beautiful piece while others basically left 50% of their serving on a plate as it was mostly fat).
the saving graces were:
