this place looks amazing, the service is superb, the ambiance is top notch.

but the food is horrible. it’s over priced and just off. weird flavours or lack there of.

save your money and give this one a miss.

we enjoyed this place so much the first time we went back a second time. the second time around the food didn't wow us at much as the first time in terms of taste, but the service was still excellent and we still had a good time. everything was beautifully and creatively presented.

service was impeccable. couldn't fault it.

the food is excellent but, in my view, missing something. the bugs entree was definitely the highlight with a real depth of flavour. the hapuka and suckling pig were delicious but didn't make us go "wow". i was expecting something more. same with the desserts.

points for the wine list.

an enjoyable meal but i don't think i'll be making cutler & co a favourite.

food was mediocre and uninspiring. the price tag was also steep which made the whole experience underwhelming. the starters were alright but the mains were so basic. to sum up, food was overpriced and boring. i won't be returning.

food is faultless and ambience is beautiful. a little dark so great for a date night out, but better have your credit card handy. pay for quality ingredients and quality service here.

the new fitoit is amazing, but i think the old menu was much better, personally i don't want to be served suckling pig on a tasting menu.. it was good but a little bland. the bar is beautiful, good selection of wine and the service was fabulous. a little pricey for the standard of food.

we came to cutler & co to use a gift voucher that was given to us as a wedding present from someone who rated this place highly. the ambience was dark but calm with classic dark brown leather half circle booths and black featured bars and tables. lighting was also quite dim. we were given a seat near the bar (how did they know) which also looked over their extensive wine collection.

we both opted for the tasting degustation and i took up the wine pairing (classic).

the tasting menu was largely seafood based which meant that there was only one course, the duck, that kelisi needed to substitute for something more suitable to her diet. this was easily and thoughtfully done to the point that her fish substitute looked equally as tempting. i loved the duck dish and also rated the flounder. dishes while still smaller serves, were actually larger than other degustations we have had, which meant that we were absolutely full to the brim by course 6.

wine sommelier did an excellent job and i found a lovely french white that i noted down which have since been able to source for home supply (after quite a search).

overall an excellent experience.

salmon roe doughnuts...that's all you need to know! the cocktail list was updated by a waitress from france and exudes exotic combinations and gin :) the martinis pack a punch and the whisky and lime combination is devine!

a superb dining experience. beautiful ambience, amazing service, delicious & inventive cooking, knowledgeable sommelier. all food was fresh and prepared to perfection. i loved how they used jerusalem artichokes (ja) on the saturday night i was there with a vegetarian-pescatarian friend. an amazing radicchio salad with caramelised ja, pear and pine nut; divine mushroom pithivier; freshly baked bread. the ja ice cream was totally memorable. loved this place. can't wait to go again!

this was the perfect experience. was recommend to me and did not disappoint. food, atmosphere and service were excellent. food was more than excellent, delicious! the warm bread served at the start of the meal won me over right away, not to mention all little nibbles which are served in between each course. would go again and recommend it.

welcome to another tablefor3 review! as always the rating is an average of all 3.

what mike said: having previously been here before the renovations i was excited to take my friends here for them to try the non-alcoholic drink match with the degustation menu. once again, the drinks were fantastic, showing a lot of thought and effort. unfortunately, that was the only outstanding thing. everything else was disappointing. staff were friendly but service was shocking! we spent an inordinate with amount of time between meals, drinks and meals came out at different times, our first course sharing came out before we even had plates, one of the waiters was clearing our plates like his life depended on it, desserts came out without sharing plates so it was like playing pass the parcel and worst of all, food was very, very average. 1.5/5

what colin said: noticeable interior update but unfortunately it could not save it from being an underwhelming experience. it seemed like they were under-staffed on the night, so the service felt rushed and impersonal. we all decided on the degustation and after the sixth and final dish, nothing left a lasting impression. the only positive i could take away from this experience was the matching non-alcoholic drinks. they were well thought out, with nice refreshing flavours without being overly sweet. a pleasant surprise considering i initially second guessed myself for not taking the alcoholic route. 2/5

what shaun said: so here's the thing : a $150 chefs menu is not exactly cheap by any standard and so that's why i'm pretty disappointed. odd things like desserts coming without sharing plates or serving spoons, forcing us to battle like an episode of the hunger games. matching drinks served 10 minutes before the actual dish. not ideal. the duck was good however. 1.5/5

this came highly recommended to us by friends and we were eager to try it out. we made our booking but when we arrived there was no record of it so we had to wait for a table to become available. this would have been okay if the food and service were good but the food was a let down and the service was poor - even ordering another glass of wine took ages! not rushing back

one of the best fine dining restaurants in australia (and i've been to a few!!) - definitely the most outstanding one from the mcconnell family. i have been a few times and have always been surprised by how fresh their ingredients are. the chefs treat their produce with respect and tlc. ive always chosen the fish for my main - kingfish was the last one i had and it was cooked to perfection. the condiments and sides complimented the protein perfectly, without overpowering the main hero! highly recommended restaurant! i haven't been to the new set up but i cannot wait to try it asap!

i loved this restaurant. great atmosphere and vibe. exceptional and knowledgeable service. we had the degustation with matching wines, and it was top notch. the spanner crab was the pick, but tbh it was very hard to fault. i'm going again soon for a la carte, eyeing off that suckling pig. if that's a winner then this place is a 5/5.
