the cupcake runs out fast, most of the recommended ones (that i heard from friends were already sold out) but i managed to still find great options for cupcakes. this little shop is always packed. it is a good study environment (if you can find some seats, anyways).

nice chai latte and chocolate cupcake!. this place is quaint, and has much butter cupcakes than a lot of other places, love the charm of the wood floors and atmosphere! the line was out the door this last saturday, so that obviously speaks volumes about their business, and the chai latte was amazing!

husband and i stopped by after eating dinner somewhere. rainy day. ordered a chai tea latte and a vanilla cupcake topped with chocolate frosting, a bit of caramel, and sea salt. perfect combo. chai was some of the best i've had. came in a nice cup with a cute design in the foam.

husband enjoyed his peanut butter and chocolate cupcake. nice atmosphere. will go back and recommend to friends.

excellent. i really wish i had these guys near my house instead of starbucks. i love their frozen mocha in a jar and cupcakes, especially bangarang (i don't know why it is named like that, but it tastes very european). great experience. there is no much of a parking space though, so we had to park on a side of a street. cupcakes, which are not fresh are sold separately and discounted.

this place is such a joke. full of obnoxious suspender-wearing hipster jerks. besides the crappy "worn" look theyre going for, there's no where to sit if there's more than 5 people there. awful business.

felt like i was sitting, uninvited, in someone's living room.... you may need to take into consideration that this review follows a visit to this popular okc coffee hangout for the first time on a saturday morning at 11:30.

i'm not going to give a comprehensive review the coffee (i'm not an fan of elemental coffee -- too grassy tasting and light for me) or the cupcakes (good, but nothing special -- had the vanilla sky... cake was a bit rubbery and had the consistency of cornbread, frosting was sweet and a bit grainy, but tasted good).

i'm mainly reviewing the atmosphere. thing is, the place is popular. the electic furniture is well-placed, and lends itself to parties of one or two, quiet reading, studying or quiet conversation. the only spots available when i arrived were two side chairs across from a sofa that was occupied. i begrudgingly took one of the side chairs, which was comfortable, and attempted to avoid eye contact with the couple sitting across from me. i felt like i was invading someone's living room. clearly, this was a spot for a larger party, but i didn't have a choice. they left, and a single person quickly nabbed the sofa, kitty-corner from me. the side chair to my left remained empty for a while.

about half an hour into my visit, a group of about six people came in. they stood right behind me (within 2 feet), obviously catching up after having not seen each other for a while. they were loud. i pushed my earbuds in more firmly, and turned up the volume to attempt to drown them out. (i should bring up the music choice, now. i'm a fan of unobtrusive music in my coffee shops: quiet jazz, indie, classical, etc... genre doesn't matter, but it shouldn't be too loud. the music was loud, country-ish, and loud. did i mention it was loud?)

the group got larger as time went on, and soon there was a line from the counter to almost the door of chattering guests -- to a baby shower. sigh... they have a back room, apparently, which accommodates larger groups. thing is, it almost seemed like there were two parties happening, one planned, and one, perhaps not booked. three times, people literally hoisted their leg over the chair next to me, and squeezed between my chair and the other one, to get through. come on, people!!!!! that's just beyond rude. give me some personal space.

while i can not fault the management for the behavior of the patrons, i can say that they have really done nothing to encourage a calm, quiet, coffee experience.

and oh yeah... i'm tired of hipsters badmouthing starbucks... i had to listen in (had no way to avoid hearing) a group of patrons extolling the superiority of the coffee experience at cuppies. now, i know it is currently hip to badmouth starbucks, and be generally anti all things green mermaid, and i adore independent coffee shops, but at least i don't have people climbing over me at starbucks, and i don't feel like i'm sitting uninvited in someone's living room.

love this family & their sweet treats!. cozy vibe with a boom boom pow cupcake that will rock your taste buds and a chocolate chip cookie that i believe is the single best thing i've ever tasted! and the chai drinks are fantastic. everyone who comes seems to have their own favorite pie/cupcake/cookie/lemon bar/dreamsicle/coffee bar fav. what's not to love about great food & drinks, served by fun employees in a cozy atmosphere that's located in the cool part of town?! but...it's the diefenderfer family behind the cuppies and joe dessert cafe that is the true x factor here. they put so much love and care into each other, this community and everything they do, that it oozes out in the loveliest of ways. they are the real sugar in this sweet shop!

...they have a great selection of hot and cold drinks for you to indulge in. we went with the machiato a 30z drink converted into a 10 oz cup of gold and hot chocolate, both served with a frothy topping of cream. mmmh delicious!

the cupcake is a soft, fluffy, and light yellow cake with vanilla and butter flavors topped with chocolate butter cream frosting. i’m very picky about frosting and real butter cream and cream cheese frostings elevate cupcakes from good to amazing. for me, a great frosting is absolutely necessary and cuppies does it right.

i'm a fan. though not always perfect, i enjoy my time at c&j. the lattes are spot on (with latte art) and the cupcakes satisfy my sweet tooth. the place can be a bit crowded, so you have to try to go on an off-time to get a table. love the atmosphere and vibe. worth a visit.

really good joe. the cupcakes are fine, but the espresso drinks are among the best in okc. they use elemental beans, but i actually prefer c&j's drinks over the elemental location in midtown. i'm something of a purist, but even i love their iced lattes.

not sure why people knock this place. no one twisting your arm to go. i moved, so i rarely get to go, but i love the density of the cuppies. a + in my book.

it wasn't terrible, i just don't think the cupcakes are anything better/more interesting that what you could make at home.

next time you need a quiet afternoon studying in a cozy atmosphere, remember that you can’t go wrong with cuppies. they’re a keep-it-local partner, as well, which means you have a chance for 10% off your purchase. with that sort of deal, what’s stopping you from opening up a tab and over-caffeinating? that’s right, nothing. so go visit. give them all the stars on urbanspoon. and buy a t-shirt, too; they’re almost as good as the cupcakes, though for different reasons (i don’t recommend eating them).
