love this family & their sweet treats!. cozy vibe with a boom boom pow cupcake that will rock your taste buds and a chocolate chip cookie that i believe is the single best thing i've ever tasted! and the chai drinks are fantastic. everyone who comes seems to have their own favorite pie/cupcake/cookie/lemon bar/dreamsicle/coffee bar fav. what's not to love about great food & drinks, served by fun employees in a cozy atmosphere that's located in the cool part of town?! but...it's the diefenderfer family behind thecuppiesand joe dessert cafe that is the true x factor here. they put so much love and care into each other, this community and everything they do, that it oozes out in the loveliest of ways. they are the real sugar in this sweet shop!

the cupcake is a soft, fluffy, and light yellow cake with vanilla and butter flavors topped with chocolate butter cream frosting. i’m very picky about frosting and real butter cream and cream cheese frostings elevate cupcakes from good to amazing. for me, a great frosting is absolutely necessary andcuppiesdoes it right.

not sure why people knock this place. no one twisting your arm to go. i moved, so i rarely get to go, but i love the density of the cuppies. a + in my book.

a gem on 23rd. i enjoycuppiesand joe for a few reasons: it's close to me, the cupcakes are wonderful, and the coffee is good. i have never experienced a "dry" cupcake as other people mentioned. it can get a little hectic, the parking situation is getting out of hand (i hope they have a plan to improve parking). i have tried all of the cupcake bakeries in this city, and in my opinioncuppiesand joe is the best. now, concerning the atmosphere: the employees and the "vibe" of the place can vary from great to downright snobbish. it beats red cup though, at least atcuppiesi don't have 10 smoking hipsters staring me down and talking trash....plus the coffee is 100x better.

wow. i absolutely lovecuppiesand joe. i have brought so many to work and talked about them so much that my nickname is now "cupcake". in addition to serving the best cupcakes in the world, they gladly donate to those troops returning from deployment. the best welcome-home any red-blooded american could want!

i want to like c&j. i am generally a fan of places with cupcakes, for the mere fact that cupcakes are a delight to my soul.
my complaint aboutcuppiesand joe isn't actually with the cupcakes. it is with the atmosphere. i feel as though i have to whisper there. the tables are small, so if you want to go there to do some work, it can be hard to maneuver. and the atmosphere overall just doesn't say to me, "sit down and stay awhile."

no morecuppiesand joe. i used to go tocuppiesand joe a lot...it was a cute place with a neat idea. however, the service has gone from bad to worse. the people who work there don't greet you, they aren't helpful, they don't seem to appreciate your business, and they are just plain rude. service is slow and rather than asking if you need help they just stare at you. and maybe busing your own table makes things easier for them, but as a customer i don't like eating on a table covered with coffee spills and cupcake crumbs. i won't recommend them or be coming back.

delicious!. i only live a few blocks fromcuppiesand joe, but it has taken me until now to check the place out. the feel of this little group of shops, restaurants and offices in the uptown area has a very cozy feel. i was very impressed with the relaxed and homey atmosphere they have created with the vintage chair, tables, and couches. it felt like you had walked into a friends home that just happens to have some of the best cupcakes in town. i started with the don, which is an italian cream cuppie w/ a cream cheese icing (pecans & coconut in the cake and icing). it was one of the most delicious cupcakes i had ever had hands down. i also got the marry poppins, which is a strawberry cuppie w/ a strawberry cream cheese icing. it was also very tasty. i will be back time and again to sample the long list of cupcakes. you can also follow them on twitter to find out what new thing they are baking up that day... @cuppiesandjoe.

my favorite cupcakes.cuppiesmakes the best cupcakes in okc (sorry gigi's fans, but it's true). but yes, the hours are weird for a coffee place and the coffee service can be a little slow. my fave is the chocolate cake w/ choco frosting, and the mocha one is a close second. if you need chocolate and butter perfectly mixed, get acuppiesfix.

disappointed..... i always believe there are 2 equally important parts of eating out, food and service..i am not a huge cupcake or icing fan but my son has been wanting to go here for forever. we ordered the vanilla, chocolate and choc/peanut butter cupcakes. the chocolate and vanilla were good- like other reviewers said, the cupcakes were a little dry but in my experience, most are. .my son loved the peanut butter.. the chocolate icing was the best part, which suprised me. (i usually don't care for buttercream at all but the icing was very good). i also ordered an iced latte with an ill-fitting lid- more to that in a minute...the latte was terrible- i don't know if is the coffee that is used or the flavoring but i can get better iced latte at mcd's.
i looked upcuppiesand joe before we went and saw "family friendly"...great. i can bring my 2 kids, including a toddler. not sure what "family friendly" means in relation to this place..i didn't feel very welcome at all.. girl taking my order wasn't especially friendly..my kids' cupcakes were served on paper plates, while mine was on a "real" plate"- not sure what that means- do kids not deserve real plates too? when i got the iced latte, the lid was already busted on one side.. i got another lid, put it on, and when i went to take a drink, it had busted again and completely poured out of the cup, all over me and my son sitting next to me and the table.. a $3 drink deserves a better cup/ lid .
i went back to get a towel and clean up the mess.one of the girls in the back helped me to clean up the coffee. i made a comment that the cups don't really fit the lids very well...she said nothing and didn't offer to replace the coffee, etc...i apologized for the mess and thanked her for helping - she didn't respond. i got the feeling she was a little put out about cleaning up... we quickly bussed our own table (as the signs everywhere instruct you to do) and left. as i was leaving, a few employees were sitting near the door, talking. they did not acknowledge us. a "thank you for coming" goes a long way. i did like the serve-yourself water dispenser, esp. with the ok weather..
great service can make ok/good food taste awesome and make you want to go back....unfortunately, this experience doesn't make me want to return.

i went for the coffee products first!!!. i searched for a place that i could enjoy great coffee based products without going to that crap of a chain called starbucks. after some research and review reading i settled oncuppiesand joe. the serving sizes are plentiful and a great addition, for me at least, was the selection of cupcakes. of course the cupcake thing is just a current trend and no cupcake place is going to have the most moist items as they sit on display shelves but if you want a chill place to kick back enjoy some 'joe' and eat a reasonably priced cupcake then this is the place. sara sara doesn't compare and it's sterile environment doesn't lend to a laid back atmosphere as doescuppiesand joe!

good, but not great. after all the rave reviews aboutcuppiesand joe, i was expecting a life-changing cupcake. while the cupcakes i had were good (chocolate rain & ebony and ivory) i wasn't completely sold. they were moist and the frosting was good, but had a "plain jane" flavor. will i go back? most likely, because it's my kind of atmosphere, but if i want an awesome cupcake, i'll just make my own.

close but not that close.cuppiesand joe has some of the worst cupcakes i have ever had. people only go there because it's trendy right now. all the good reviews were either written by friends of the people who own it or they have no taste buds whatsoever. i prefer not to eat dry crumbly cupcakes and that is exactly whatcuppiesand joe serves. they should cut down on their variety and put a little more effort into taste and quality.
