copeland's cheesecake bistro

went there for my girlfriends birthday. was total of 5 in our party. has been a while since i have been here. i was mixed on this trip. 

we had the crab and crawfish bake for appetizer. it was very good though very small for a shareable appetizer. each person only got one small piece of toast with some dip on it. 

food came out in a timely manner. most was good though one salmon dish had to be sent back as it was so salty. i tried to myself and could not eat a full bite it was so salty. manager was accommodating and brought another one out and discounted the bill a bit for it. 

shrimp st. charles pasta was just ok. the shrimp in it was way overcooked and it was sort of bland with not much of any sauce. the bbq shrimp pasta bread bowl thing was very good, well seasoned and big shrimp that were cooked well. the drum with crawfish cream sauce was very good and the penne pasta with shrimp sausage andchickenwas very good as well.   

we ordered cheese cake for dessert and was disappointed with a few things. it took forever to come out. i also remember their pieces of cheesecake being much larger than what we got...for the price they charge per piece it was kind of disappointing what we were brought. one piece was larger than the other for sure but both seemed way smaller than i remember getting when this place first opened years back. the cookies and creams piece was good though ..the red velvet one was kind of so so ..no one really liked it. 

we also ordered 2 cafe au lait coffees that took even longer to come out, i am talking 20 minutes or more ....the waiter kept telling us they were waiting on steaming the milk (steamed milk in cafe au lait?). dessert was almost done being eaten when it finally came. and shockingly after waiting so long for steamed milk and to make the coffee it was barely warm and did not taste like cafe au lait...it had some cinnamon and coco powder tasting stuff in it ..was not pleased with it to say the least. we also were not happy with the service in full. we kept needing things that should have been there from the start like spoons to stir our iced tea..we asked for some and were brought one when we all had tea, and other general things like this occurred all dinner long. even when check came was no pen and could not flag down waiter to get one, we finally ended up finding one of our own before he got one to us.

if you want crappy service with barely edible food then this is your place. waited 5 minutes to be seated though they weren't that busy. then 5 minutes for the waitress to come by and take our drink order. slow to fill drinks, wrong drinks delivered. i got the crescent citychickensalad which was good. my son got mac n cheese and something else non memorable. bland food. his turtle cheesecake was ok.

i hadn't been there in a while & had high expectations. but i must say the food wasn't super impressive tonight. we started with the crab & crawfish bake. that was divine, but we could have used a couple more toast pieces. the sex in the city martini was good, too! i ordered the paneedchickenover crawfish linguini. thechickenwas seasoned well, but the linguini was a bit bland, the crawfish were sparse & it could have benefited from more sauce. in lieu of a dessert, i decided i wanted a cold coffee drink but with alcohol. so i ordered a white chocolate mocha, add bailey's. i should have just ordered coffee with bailey's & told them to put whipped cream on top of it, because they charged me for two drinks & and i could sense no alcohol in it at all. overall, it was okay, but i'm over cheesecake bistro for a while.

got thechickenfriedchickencos my benchmark for the dish was set by chelsea's and boy did these guys beat it by a mile! good food, good prices too. service - can get better. surely heading back again soon.

fried eggplant is a must.. the fried eggplant is amazing. the cheesecake, as it should, delights and doesn't disappoint. i had the praline cheesecake and oh my yum!!! so good. my entree was blackenedchickenwith tomato basil and mozzarella ravioli and it was one of the best dishes i have ever had. i hope they add it to their menu for good! great great.

excellent service. jordan was a very good waiter. the blackenedchickenwas fantastic. the biscuits are a tad too salty but overall a wonderful experience.

always a great dining experience!!. i am in love with the mardi gras king cake cheesecake!! it is by far my favorite. we explained that my son wanted the waffle only & not thechickenand waffle meal, they made it happen. we love cheesecake bistro

best white strawberry cheesecake ever! love the pecan crust. like the banaba foster as well, when done right (bring it warm). so make sure you tell your server about that. not crazy about their menu but the zalmorrachickenis tasty and a better option than many other entries. the jamabalaya bowl is delicious too and it could be shared since is a huge portion like many other entrees.

nasty. some relatives same in from tx and wanted to go here to eat. i haven't been in awhile so we said ok we will try it again. bad idea. the only good thing was our waitress, she was very nice, but the food was horrible. the appetizer of crab/crawfish spread, was sweet like it had sugar in it and the crawfish tails were like rubber. i ordered blackenedchickenalfredo, and my husband got blackened shrimp, they was barely any sauce on the pasta and thechickenand shrimp were far from blackened and both overcooked.we asked for extra sauce and when it came out it was like water. my brother got another shrimp dish that was nasty also. don't waste your time and money going to this restaurant.what happened to the old menu that used to be good. sad

ain't what it used to be. the last time i had lunch there about a month ago the food tasted like ass. seriously. thechickenin the thai wrap tasted like it died before its time. not going back again because it wasn't so good the time before either.

i had the grilledchickenand yams as carryout and it was very good. i suspect it would have been even better if i had ate at the resturant . two thumbs up.
