breakfast for 4 = $60 - absurd. that is the lasttimei will patronize a restaurant based on an oklahoma gazette article. partook of this very very average food this sunday am after mass. the joint was very noisy , wait-staff cavalier & food was blah.
save the $15 a head and go elsewhere !

terrible experience on 4/13/13. i had heard such great things about this diner in local media but my experience there yesterday morning was very disappointing. i had planned a breakfast get-together for 11 of my closest friends of which about half of them new to the grill (my husband and i had eaten there our firsttimejust a few weeks ago). our group gets together about every 2 months or so and we thought we'd try somewhere besides jimmy's egg (which is very good by the way). we arrived when they opened and the grill had only a handful of other diners in the place for the whole 90 minutes we were there. the waitress was probably one of the rudest ones i had run across in a longtimeand the food was terrible! they completely missed one whole order and when the replacement finally arrived it was cold - they hadn't even melted the cheese on the omelet! she sent that back and just told them to forget the whole thing because by thistimeeveryone else was almost finished eating. there was no apology or anything and to add insult to injury they went ahead and charged her for her coffee! with another order of biscuits and gravy the biscuits were so small an additional order of english muffins was needed to make it a meal. the waitress was very rude to all - t was obvious that she did not want to wait on us even though the grill was nowhere near busy. i doubt any of us will ever darken the grill's door again. i guess we are going back to jimmy's nexttimefor sure!

i just don't understand. for years classen grill has been a regular sunday brunch spot for the wife and i,but not anymore.gradually the quality of food and service has gone downhill, and doesn't seem to be getting any better anytimesoon. from poached eggs being overcooked,to cold hollandaise to terrible service. last sunday we went and tried again. well,it was the straw that broke the camels back. i ordered a waffle topped with fruit, and am still appalled at what they served me. overripe canteloupe,a few grapes, and about half a pint of squishy, old, some moldy, blueberries that i wouldnt feed to my dog. working in food,i would never imagine serving that, and am disgusting that not only a cook(s?) served it but a server brought it out like that. these people just don't give a damn, and we will not be returning.

firsttimeat classen grill today. had the coyote chicken sandwich with fries. sandwich was a good size & delicious! fries were thick cut and very crisp. our server was prompt & friendly.

restaurant looks old and a bit like a dive from the outside but don't let that change your mind. the food is good quality. i'll definitely come again. maybe try their breakfast menu next time.

my firsttimehere!. why have i never gone here before? well, i guess the fact that i live in dallas doesn't help, but i'm in okc quite a bit and have managed to never eat here until recently. after a night out drinking, wife and i decided to meet a couple of friends here for breakfast. first impression isn't much, just a really small hole-in-the-wall. my buddy told me to try his orange juice, which was supposed to be freshly squeezed and amazing. i thought it was just ok. but my chicken fried steak was really good, and my wife's pancakes were awesome. i can't really explain it, but the pancakes blew me away. we don't eat out for breakfast often, but if we do, she usually gets pancakes. i thought these were some of the best pancakes i've ever had. they were really fluffy, and had a lot of flavor. something about them just really stood out, and i can't put my finger on it, b/c they're just pancakes, right? never again will eat at ihop or denny's for breakfast in okc. server was really sweet too; she was down-to-earth and very attentive.

my favorite breakfast joint!. yes, the building is in need of repair. yes, the tables are crammed in close together. yes, the art on the wall (which is for sale) can sometimes be atrocious. oh, and the parking sucks. but the food speaks for itself. it is my all-time favorite place to grab a delicious, satisfying breakfast on the cheap. i like my eggs over-medium, and they always get it just right. their bacon isn't the thin, transparent, almost-not-there slivers you get at ihop. the fried potatoes are hearty and satisfying. no tropicana to be found here. they have freshly-squeezed orange juice, squeezed right there in the restaurant (but be prepared to pay a premium for it - around $4 a glass). their waffles are so good you almost don't need syrup, and their beignets (served with raspberry sauce) are a delicious treat. i can't speak for their lunch menu. i've never tried it, because everytimei'm at classen grill i default to their tried and true breakfast menu.

don't go after breakfast, or maybe just don't go?. had a terrible lunch there. service was great but the food wasn't a patch on what it used to be. the queso tasted like it was from a giant can of circus cheez. anothertimethe breakfast burrito tasted slightly worse than something you could have from taco bell. this place used to be amazing. the taters may still be good, but the whole neighborhood needs some quality tex mex. bring it back!

it's good, but the prices are enough to keep me away. a small glass of fresh squeezed oj for 4 bucks? tea for 2 bucks? the food was better years ago but has declined a little over time. and the staff will be good one weekend then horrible the next. it's always been an inconsistent local favorite probably because there hasn't been any real early breakfast competition in the area until recently.

the lasttimei went i just felt like i way overpaid for what i got. and i've always had to wait in that little crammed waiting area.

i have gotten a so-so experience at classen grill. one bad; one good. first off, the orange juice isn't as awesome as everyone says it is. it cost like five bucks for a 12 or 14 oz glass. it's tasty but also room temperature. i'd rather have a large glass of cold stuff. two, hash brown potatoes means home fries deep fried and soggy. i evensaid hash browns. do they have that there? i was suggested a burrito and i'm thinking breakfast burrito. i got a cheesey beefy burrito covered in nacho cheese and topped with tortilla chips. why is this on the breakfast menu? it sucked. also my dates eggs were ordered over easy eachtimewe've gone an it's always over medium. their toast is wonder bread grilled on one side. the secondtimei went i got a burger. it was very fresh and filling. sausage links are also very good here. there are better places to get a good meal. it's pricey and borderline obnoxious how they try to make fusion breakfast lunch food. just my opinion. i'll be back, but maybe not for a while.

ehh.... i went for lunch and had the coyote chicken sandwich. the homefries that came with the meal were excellent, the sandwhich was not bad but "where's the chicken"? the chicken breast was cut thin making for a sandwhich that made almost every bite full of bread. it was served on focaccia with sauteed onions, jack cheese , chipotle mayo and jalepenos.

nexttimei'll order breakfast.
